Woodside Dells Hotel & Suites

Was in town working a soccer tournament. The interior of this room was well maintained and everything was very clean and in working order. Check-in was easy and friendly. The pillows were a little hard, but beyond that no complaints. Motel is located on a main street and not too far away from restaurants, etc. No issues or problems with noise or safety. I would have no worries about staying at this location again.

This place was spotless & tidy! Good place to easily stop. Wi-Fi worked good for me to work once I got it hooked up. No breakfast, be aware of that! Beds are again very clean. However the mattresses were hard, enough that my husbands back was spawning the next day :( Hopefully these things get updated. Otherwise the staff & cleanliness were great!

I chose this hotel for a one night weekend stay because it was one of the very few that was under $200 a night. We had one of the open-to-outside rooms, which I'm glad we did vs. near the pool. The double queen room seemed larger than most typical double queens at other hotels. Lots of space for all our crap. It was clean and the beds were decent. The indoor pool is HUGE, the kids loved it. Sauna was a bonus. Outdoor pool looked sketchy and not ultra clean, so we passed on that. Bummer that there is no breakfast, but Kwik Tip is literally across the street, so that makes up for it. Located at the very end of the main drag, so yes, you could walk to the main downtown area. If you're looking for somewhere to crash after a long day, this place will do just fine.

Not really impressed. I consider value for my money when writing reviews and for what I paid, even on a busy weekend, the value was not there. Honestly, the fact that it was clean is the only reason it's not rated lower. We were situated in the room right next to the pool, so we had a huge amount of traffic passing by. While not a huge deal, it did definitely hinder our experience a little. The bathtub was less than desirable and needs to be replaced. The drain was slow, but at least the water pressure was decent. There was putty repairs on the shower, and it was really off putting. There was folding wooden stool in the shower that definitely cannot be sanitary, we didn't use it but you could tell it was outdated. The furniture was all newer, it just didn't make sense that the shower was overlooked. Had I paid maybe 60% of what I actually paid, this would be a different review. But the value was absent, and therefore this was an average stay.

Reservation for a king room was not honored. We checked in around 3:30 p.m. and were given a double queen without explanation. After we questioned it, we were told that all the king rooms were taken even though that was what we reserved. Window coverings were different lengths. Peephole was removed and the front desk attendant said they were replacing them, but we could stuff it with tissue. A stained/dirty carpet from the pool, all the way down the hall appeared like someone had gotten sick. No comfortable chair to sit in. There is a small coffee maker, but no breakfast items are available. Kwik Trip across the street, however. The mattress and pillows are firm. The heater ran most of the night when set to 64 degrees. Won't stay again.

The selling point is the huge indoor pool. This is a winner in the cloudy weather summer days. The outdoor pool is much smaller, but passable when the indoor pool is closed for maintenance. The hotel is a good, walkable distance from the Main Street, so you can leave your car parked and head in without worrying about where to park. The rooms are spacious enough, although could be cleaner. Don’t look too closely behind the beds…. Annoyingly covid seems to be an excuse to stop daily room cleaning, however in room hoovers or floor brushes would be useful if you’re staying more than 1 night and have young kids with you.

Nice place. Great room. Everything was new. very clean. Large room with walk in shower in bathroom. Furniture and trim were all new knotty pine. Comfortable beds with lots of room to walk around them. Easy parking. Indoor pool was very nice. They also have an outdoor pool, but we did not check it out.

Check-in went smoothly, free Wi-Fi. Rooms were very clean. There wasn't a great place to sit down besides the beds but that certainly isn't a deal breaker. Fridge but no freezer part (if that matters to you). Only 1 bar of soap in the bathroom & toilet paper & tissues were very thin. Towels were sooooo soft and comfy. Stand up shower, no tub (in case you have kids & need that option). No hot tub but again, not a deal breaker. We got to choose hotel side or motel side and we chose motel. I like the option to just drive to our door; however, also an upstairs to not guaranteed convenience. I feel motels are quieter overall. Downside to that was you had to walk across the parking lot. We had a rain/snow/sleet mixture and the parking lot dips between the buildings so our feet got wet walking across the lot (whether it was coming/going, pool time or checking in/out). Pool was a great size and plenty of spots for parents to sit around to watch the children. Grab & go continental breakfast due to covid. We were there for volleyball and it included wristbands for admission to the sports complex. When we made reservations 3 months ago, it included waterpark passes; however, that changed just this month and that offer was no longer valid, which was a bummer as that added to our overall costs. Close enough to downtown to walk; however, this time of year parking was plenty so we took the car.
