Such a beautiful inn and property. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The included brunch at Founders was great!

What a wonderful gem in Winston Salem. We had the corner room with two beds. It’s more like a suite. It was huge. The staff was so kind and helpful. A nice continental breakfast was served. You can walk a half a mile to downtown. We just loved sitting on the porch in the evening and having morning coffee. Great place.

This was a last minute booking due to stopping overnight on longer birthday trip. Not only did they make the last minute timing not feel like a big deal, they upgraded our room and offered champagne for our celebration. It was old world charm with upgraded amenities. Everything was pristine and comfortable. Also close to wonderful restaurants and activities in West End. Also the breakfast at Founders was filling and delicious! Would come back just to stay again.

Sehr schönes und sehr gepflegtes Anwesen, stilvoll, mit hochwertiger Einrichtung, sehr freundlicher Empfang, man fühlt sich willkommen. Auch das Frühstück war einfach toll! Es passt einfch alles. Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Lovely Inn. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. They even set up a charcuterie table and drinks for guests upon our arrival Friday evening. Beautiful grounds. Room was also lovely and well appointed. Breakfast at the Shaffner Inn was delicious! We truly enjoyed our stay.

This was a great experience. Probably the best stay I ever had. We stayed in The Schaffer Inn for three nights an at Summit three days, just GREAT. Rooms were spotless, breakfast super and the staff super friendly. I will recommend this place to all my friends in Sweden

Truly a stellar stay in the Alspaugh room. Luxury and comfort, walkable neighborhood. Definitely plan a return. A trip to Reynolda was the icing. Breakfast at the Founder’s Restaurant provided a lovely ambiance. An unexpected complimentary meal, wine in the room, WiFi…be back!

My daughter and I stayed here in the Baldwin room. The room was spacious and beautiful and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was also beautiful and spacious, but the setup had some oddities. There was no door on the room with the shower, tub, and sink. For a room geared towards families with two queen beds, it would be nice to have some privacy in there. Also the towel rack was in the toilet room instead of near the shower and bathtub. And the shower had dispensers for shampoo, body wash, and conditioner but I'm not sure how you would use those products while taking a bath in the tub.
