The hotel is very close to the airport, just a few minutes drive, the health is very good, the staff are very polite, the breakfast is not much, but the taste is very good, and it is different every day, the room is very big, there is a kitchen dishwasher, do it yourself The meal is very convenient, the hotel also has free parking and a self-service laundry room and a free gym. There is a big supermarket not far from the hotel, really recommended, very cost-effective hotel

We chose this hotel since my toddler wanted to go to the dinosaur water park, which he really enjoyed. My biggest concern is that they no longer provide room cleaning service (unless requested). I was never informed of this and was so confused by the second day that I finally went to the front desk to inquire why my room hadn't been cleaned. By this time the cleaning staff had left and I spent my last night cleaning my hotel room as the garbage bins were full and we had run out of towels (there is very limited space to hang towels in the bathroom). The front desk told me to place the towels and garbage in the hallway and that they would drop off supplies. Fresh towels and coffee refills were quickly dropped off, but my used towels and garbage sat in the hallway for about 12 hours. I was wondering why everyone had piles of towels and garbage outside their door! Not exactly the best ”covid-19” cleanliness protocol. I would have appreciated being informed of their cleaning protocols during the reservation or check-in process.

On the whole my experience was very good. I was told I would have a certain room but upon arrival another identical room was provided. When I made the reservation I asked for an early check in, as I have a physical disability, and was told they would do their best to accomodate me. It did take longer than expected even after I arrived an hour later than planned but it was still ”early”. Noah is a Star at the front desk and was super helpful and professional while delivering a genuine and personable demeanor. Later I received a call from another representative at the front desk asking how the room was, which is a nice touch and I arranged for a ”Wake-Up Call” for the next morning. The ”Wake-Up Call” was not delivered though. The noise of the operating elevators was noticeable. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The toilet was very low to the ground;one of the lowest I've ever seen but the shower and the finishes in the Bathroom were very good. I would definitely stay there again. Details are so important and when they are not performed well it lets the entire Team down. Quality service at any price- point is worth the effort just as is a Quality pay-scale. Reputation is Everything.

The staff and and servers for the breakfast were amazingly helpful. The quality and variety of the food was excellent. We were surprised by the fresh omelets served for breakfast. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The server at the desk offered to help me with getting wifi on my phone which I did not have.

This is not really a Hotel, it's a Motel and the room lacked a bathroom sink counter so we were using the toilet seat for our shave kit and my wife’s cosmetic kit until the dental floss feel on the bathroom floor, then went outside to a mirror in the room that had very little light so could not see oneself in the mirror. No fan in the bathroom so everything was steamed up anyways…The Super8 we stayed at last night was far, far better a Motel. The breakfast is in a tiny room smaller than my closet at home... I am not kidding. I have been waiting ten minutes in line to just get in there while a family of six is preparing their breakfast , toasting toast and goodness knows what else! That is really ridiculous to put all the breakfast food in a closet, like who does that?? I am sure it reduces the interest and food consumption and saves the Chinese proprietress allot of expense on food? The location is way out of the way and the only reason we came was the rating on Expeditia and here combined with the low room cost… so for $89 the room was as expected and the breakfast far worse.

I don’t want to write too much because probably I could not book them next time. LOL

I booked a room at this location to have a night’s rest while driving across Canada. This hotel is conveniently located near the highway and food establishments. After a long day of driving we arrived at this hotel for the night. I found the bed had been made up; however clearly not changed. There were many hairs on the sheets and the bedspread. The gentleman working at the front desk came down to see it and immediately brought fresh linens. Changing the bed was the last thing I felt like doing after a day of driving. When I travel, I always bring cleaning wipes and do my own surface clean, especially since COVID. I was mortified to see how dirty the wipes were after wiping off the desk and counter. It was bad enough that I brought the wipes to the front desk to show the gentleman working. If it wasn’t for the apologies and pleasant demeanour of the gentleman working at the front desk I would have packed up and left. Unfortunately, someone not doing their job can reflect negatively on the whole establishment. I would highly recommend management doing regular checks. I do have to say once settled the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. There is an odour of stale cigarette smoke, likely from people smoking outside the patio doors. All of the front staff were very pleasant. This was the first Choice Hotel that I was actually acknowledged as a Diamond member. I can’t speak about breakfast options as I was gone early. Would I stay again, no. The manager did reverse my charges for the inconvenience.

TTINGTINGThis hotel is conveniently located opposite the airport. The internal facilities are clean and tidy. Very good stay experience. Will come again next time
GGuest UserI've stayed here many times. The first time, I was blown away at how great it was. The customer service was exceptional. The food was perfect in every way. The overall service was so friendly and professional. I literally loved it like a home away from home. We just stayed there again for 9 nights. I couldn't believe the change in everything. The room was in very poor repair. The blackout blind was broken and sticking out. The cupboard door to the fridge was half broken off. The room didn't give you that really clean feeling. Very dusty like it hadn't been used in a very long time. Every day I had to go down to the front desk because either my key didn't work, or the cleaning staff didn't replenish cups and glasses. We even had to ask for another bath towel. They only left one towel for my husband and I (are we supposed to share???). We asked for 2 glasses. They said they didn't have any and that there was a shortage of glasses. Then we asked the cleaning staff again and they looked at us like we were crazy when we told them that there was apparently a glass shortage in the hotel. So we got 2 glasses that we had to wash ourselves everyday. The worst was the dinner food. WOW!!! Terrible. I ordered the caesar salad. They cut a head of romaine....drizzled some dressing on it with boxed croutons and some bacon bits ( I think ) and served it like that. So basicially I was cutting up a head of romaine and eating the lettuce like that. It was horrible. They still charged me but brought me a bowl of vegetable soup (canned) instead. The room was actually never cleaned.....only the bed was made and some towels were changed. Very disappointing after having an incredibly impressive stay a few years ago. I hope they get their act together and do something about all this. New management may help. The outdoor patio was also not available to use.
GGina LoewenEnjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay-cation at the Holiday Inn - Airport West! Welcoming and friendly service, spacious and spotless room, silky sheets on the king bed, and excellent amenities in the room. Despite the pandemic, we were able to use the pool - an efficient and fair sign-up process gave us 1 hour/day (could have been more). The continental breakfast was not included, but the location is excellent and we could easily walk across the street for sushi & bubble tea, pizza, steak, and more! Also a Shoppers Drug Mart and Liquor Mart right across the street. And, if you want some exercise, this hotel is a close jaunt to the beautiful Assiniboine Park & Zoo!
GGuest UserWe stayed one night on a cross country driving trip. We didn’t experience all of the facilities but the room was great, very comfortable and had a great sleep. The front desk staff were so pleasant. We had a very minor issue with the room which was looked at immediately and fixed. The manager offered us complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience which was such a nice surprise and then had 2 follow up calls from front desk checking up on us. There was a big winter storm and we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant instead of venturing out again. I almost gave this review 4 stars because the dinner was disappointing and expensive. The main courses were a bit tasteless and had to be sent back to be reheated. But I knew it might be hit and miss before we went in so I decided to stick with my original 5 stars for the great hotel staff and a great sleep.
GGuest UserChose this because my usual Delta was fully booked. Location is close to airport and downtown (although I was warned by locals that it is not safe to take a walk around). Hotel itself is classic Residence Inn. Spacious rooms with all amenities. Reception staff provided welcome chocolates and water bottles every time I asked. Some of the places needed more cleanliness & upkeep as the place was rundown except the lobby area. Overall, a decent two night stay.
BBirdie13The only reason cleanliness is rated a 3 is because our room had a smell to it (not bad, it could just be the cleaning products), other than that it was clean. It’s located on the outskirts of winnipeg which is lovely for driving out of town. The service was awesome, everyone from workers to people staying was friendly, it is a very welcome and warm environment. We ended up with a top floor room and was able to move onto the ‘motel’ style rooms, which was very appreciated. The breakfast that comes with the hotel really exceeded our expectations, REAL eggs, the crispiest best hash browns, and the toast was bacon was good too. They had an interesting cinnamon bun french toast that i’d definitely try next time. They have a pantry/ little convenience store in the lobby, and I’d say the prices are reasonable, definitely would expect them to be more. On the downside the beds are on the stiffer side, but the pillows are of good quality. this wouldn’t be my first choice to come back to in winnipeg but for the price and good meal included, it’s top #5.
GGuest UserWe fled here after being evacuated from the Marlborough due to an ”emergency fumigation operation.” It's just down the street, which means same great location! Also, while one night here cost almost as much as three nights at the Marl (lol), after our experience there the professionalism was worth it. Remote / TV weren't working, but a call downstairs sent a friendly guy up who was quick to fix it. Highly recommended if you need a place downtown in the Peg.
GGuest UserThe staff was so friendly and willing to help us out with a great rate! The room was spacious, clean and well kept. The hot tub was not in order unfortunately. Not ideal after cycling for 8 hours but we made do. The breakfast selection was good. There was a good variety but the apple juice and coffee tasted very watered down
We had to overnight at the Winnipeg airport and booked this hotel through *******. First, the ******* ad said one room left which was not correct. Second, this hotel is NOT near the airport as advertised (and in fact appeared to be in an industrial area with few amenities). Third, it is a terrible hotel. Only thing going for it is that it is clean and freshly painted. The reception staff were more concerned with getting our damage deposit than our condition. The grey painted cement block rooms are on the 2nd floor and no elevator. The room sink was disconnected under the counter so our first experience was a flood when the faucet was turned on. The single window had an air conditioner that was loud and the fan blew air directly at the head of one bed less than 2 feet away. Sleep was difficult. There were no glasses or cups and the lonely coffee maker had no supplies of anything, even coffee. There were no hangers. We were told that there had been a new housekeeper that day which does not explain all the issues encountered. Finally when we left very early, we complained about the situation and were told the owner would call us. Not surprisingly, no call. Do not stay in this hotel. UBER costs (there is no shuttle) and the room rate are more than the real hotels immediately beside the airport.
