We stayed for three nights, the rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean and quality comfortable bedding and towels. The pub was friendly, great staff and professional service. We had breakfast daily which was quality produce, though limited cereal/fruit options. Dinner was well presented pub food and Sunday roast was excellent (a little more steamed, plain vegetables would have enhanced) but all in all very good and realistic prices. We would have no hesitation in returning and hope to when the weather is better! Thank you Lizzie and team

We spent four nights here and were delighted with the room we had. We were in the annex which offered a really spacious room with parking right at the door. It looked as though it had been recently refurbished. The bed was comfy and we got a great nights sleep. Lovely bathroom with walk-in shower. We ate in the restaurant on the first night. The young waiter was very pleasant. Food was good pub food not too pricey. We arrived at happy hour so drinks were very cheap. Breakfast was included and was cooked to order with good quality produce. I might have liked a bit more choice as we were staying for several nights (pastry or french toast) but what we did have was delicious and well cooked. I would really recommend this hotel.

The host and staff at this hotel are very friendly. They are efficient and always welcoming. We’re currently here for 3 nights and the room and bed are lovely and comfortable. There is a very nice bathroom with a large shower and clean towels every day. Would definitely stay again.

One night stay before catching a ferry from Poole. Felt very welcome with our dog. Lovely sized room with nice furnishings and quality bed linen with 2 bowls and treats for the dog. Fantastic dinner at the bar after a drink in the garden. Great places to walk the dog nearby.

The worst pub roast I've ever had!!! The roast was a huge disappointment considering it cost £18.95 each, we had one parsnip, about 3 of the smallest chanternie carrots ever, the smallest chicken thigh that I'd ever seen.Instead of a gravy boat on the side so you could put your own gravy on, the gravy was already on the roast dinner and it was the worst gravy I have ever tasted in my life. It was really creamy and had a dreadful flavour that i couldn'tworkoutwhatitwas. Will not be returning.

The worst pub roast I've ever had!!! We ordered the king prawn cocktail for £9.95 We didn't mind paying that for king prawns but they weren't king prawns they were the tiniest prawns I've ever seen they were no bigger than my thumb nail. The roast was a huge disappointment considering it cost £18.95 each, we had one parsnip, about 3 of the smallest chanternie carrots ever. Instead of a gravy boat on the side so you could put your own gravy on, the gravy was already on the roast dinner and it was the worst gravy I have ever tasted in my life. It was really creamy and had a dreadful flavour and texture. £64 for two starters two roast dinners and two soft drinks. Will not be returning. The south African guy serving shouldn't be front of house, very abrupt and unfriendly.

My husband and I stayed at the Fisherman's Haunt for 2 nights whilst visiting our son at university in Bournemouth. It was a lovely experience. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was very cosy, comfortable and decorated beautifully. We really were very impressed. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening and the food was very nice - good portions and cooked well. Breakfast in the morning was relaxed and again, the food was cooked well. I would definitely recommend and if I were to return to the area, I would stay again. Great value for the money.

The wife and I have just stayed at this accommodation for the last 3 days. The room we stayed in was number 10 ( Professor), it was very nice. The owner and staff were very nice and the breakfasts were very good and very substantial. It is a very nice place to stay and would recommend a visit if in the area of Winkton, Dorset.

Everybody from 13 to 90, carnivores to vegetarians enjoyed their food, The owner was very accommodating and made sure that we were all comfortable. It was also great that we could bring the dog and sit in a restaurant area and not in a bar area or somewhere outside. We will be back.
