Marley House Bed and Breakfast

Marley House was amazing. Jan and Mark were incredible. Jan had contacted us ahead of time to ensure that our child's sleeping arrangements were what we wanted. The property itself had ample parking and was in a very quiet area with a small play area in the grounds. Mark was extremely friendly and welcoming on arrival. The room was clean, spacious, with plenty of storage and the amenities that you would want and need. Breakfast was delicious and totally customisable. Every day Mark and Jan provided local knowledge and insights into what we had planned giving us some wonderful ideas of things to do in the local area that we would have been none the wiser about. This was our first family holiday since our child's birth 3 years ago and staying at Marley House was the beat experience we could have asked for.

A truly wonderful visit to Marley House. The owners Marco and Jan are the best hosts I’ve ever met. The attention to detail is outstanding and the beautifully decorated rooms offer the best comfort and Queens beds all en-suite. Breakfast is served by the funniest Marco. My scrambled eggs on toast were the best I’ve tasted. There are communal areas to relax and chat including stunning gardens. It’s a wonderful Hamlet and a stone throw from Durdle Door, Dorchester and Weymouth. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

We have just returned from our third stay at Marley House which is in a wonderful rural location; perfect for a relaxing and quiet stay. As per our previous visits, Mark and Jan were welcoming, attentive and helpful. There is an excellent selection at breakfast which is always cooked to perfection. We had a wonderful time and will return. Mark and Jan - thank you once again for everything.

What a gem Marley House is. We stayed in the Apartment. Everything was excellent, super comfortable bed. We also had our 2 dogs with us. It was lovely to stay in such a beautiful B & B. The back garden was enclosed, totally dog proof, as one of our dogs is an escape artist, it was so nice being able to let them run about, knowing he couldn't get out. Jan and Mark were very good hosts. Short Drive to Durdle Door. Would certainly stay again, and recommend the place very highly.

We recently had our first family trip away and I found Marley House online and it looked like the ideal location to celebrate my mums 80th birthday. It didn’t disappoint. Mark, Jan and everyone at Marley House , including George and Doris the dogs, made us feel incredibly welcome and at ease at their beautiful home. We are pretty disorganised as a family, not making any arrangements to get to the location of the B&B but Mark immediately came to our rescue, picking us up from the station. Upon arrival the beauty of the location and where we were staying did not go unnoticed. Our rooms were lovely, spacious with beautiful views of the garden. The nights are very quiet there so you really feel you can recuperate from the frenetic life of reality to a peaceful life of total relaxation. In the mornings you’re greeted withe pastries and fruit followed by a hearty English breakfast using locally sourced produce. Mark and Jan are amazing hosts. The team at Marley House instinctively know when you’ll need them and when to give you privacy. They are a fabulous personification of the beauty, kindness and friendliness of Dorset, a truly magical place.

What a wonderful place ! We were made to feel welcome instantly, the hosts were marvellous and entertaining (Thank you Mark ) Breakfast was superb and we felt immensely spoilt . Jan and Katheryn you seem to never stop working . The grounds were super for our dog ( who was also completely accepted ) Thank you all for a fantastic stay and as soon as we can return we will .
