After a visit here earlier in the year for afternoon tea and being so impressed we took our lovely friends for a festive afternoon tea today and what a treat we had! Our fabulous server Alex was so friendly, kind and knowledge and made us feel at home. The food was spectacular as well, lots of beautiful tasty treats to eat with some interesting taste combinations. The hotel has been beautifully renovated and our table in the window gave us a beautiful view of Windermere. We will be back again.

We have been coming to your lovely hotel for afternoon tea for several years ..and yes we missed you while you were refurbishing!I Its always been a lovely experience with an amazing view from the restaurant and a really good tea ..we visited your new “improved “version last week it didn’t disappoint..from the lovely lady who greeted us at the main door to our walk through to our table for the afternoon your waiting staff and the friendly funny and very professional lady who looked after us made our entire afternoon memorable..5 stars all the way thank you so much from both of us

2 night stay in this beautiful, comfortable hotel conveniently located between Ambleside and Windermere. Staff were friendly and helpful and the service was exceptional. Rob came out to meet us at our car in the pouring rain and not only carried our bags to the room but also parked our car so we could enjoy a welcome glass of fizz by the fire. Natallia served us at breakfast and was friendly and efficient. Jack served us drinks at the bar and was welcoming and helpful. Dinner was delicious and we would like to thank the kitchen staff for preparing us a memorable meal. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Just spent a fabulous 3 nights at Langdale chase the hotel is gorgeous we stayed in the lake house garden room with cooper bath on the terrace from the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful the food was Devine and all the waiters and bar staff were great big shout out to Iain who looked after us in the restaurant we can’t wait to come back in the summer

Had a lovely luxurious one night stay with dinner, bread and breakfast. Warm, friendly, polite and helpful staff. Food and drink perfect. Location right next to lake Windermere with stunning grounds right down to the shores. Large but cosy bar and lounge area with various nostalgic games. Room exceptional with modern facilities. Special thanks to Iain, our waiter, and also Claire, the head gardener, who gave us a tour round the grounds and gardens. Will make a return visit.

Stunning location. Beautiful Hotel. The staff were all superb - so professional and friendly. There is no lift and we were on the second floor but the staff take your luggage to your room whilst you have a welcome drink and on departure will bring it down for you if you wish. We had a room in the main hotel which was very nice and spacious with a small sitting area just off the bedroom. Ideal for sitting with a coffee overlooking the Lake. I went on a tour of the gardens. Whist it’s the wrong time of the year to fully appreciate them,it was interesting to hear of the future plans from the deputy head gardener who also had some old photographs. They have future plans for a spa and pool. My only very small gripe was that breakfast could do with some more cold choices such as overnight oats or more choice of Yoghurts. The Christmas decorations were stunning - particularly the massive tree in the hall.

What a lovely Hotel from booking that was a joy, Iona and Carrie handled our booking efficiently genuinely warm and friendly nothing to much trouble made us so welcome and feel special. To the lovely room with a view. Every member of staff courteous and helpful, breakfast spot on a real treat. Room spotless shower fantastic the little complimentry cakes left in the room ahhh biss, well stocked tray of teas, coffee machine all there. Bed linen top quality, great night sleep our stay went far to quickly, the hotels email address started with Relax we really did. Some have said on trip adviser expensive what is expensive if you have had such a wonderful stay, better to pay a little more and not want to leave or pay less and want to go home. I know what my choice would be. View breathtaking with snow on the top of the mountain and sun all day we had such a lovely time. Thank you so much, See you again soon Langsdown Chase.

My wife and I recently stayed at Langdale Chase Hotel, and it was fantastic. As vegans and quite fussy eaters, we often struggle to find places that cater to us, but Langdale Chase exceeded all our expectations. The chef personally came to chat with us about our preferences and created a bespoke vegan menu just for us– we felt so looked after! The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel itself is stunning, with gorgeous views and a lovely atmosphere.

This is one of the most beautiful locations for a hotel restaurants we have visited. The dinning area was delightful and welcoming. Staff were attentive, especially Oliver, restaurant manager, who catered for our needs with respect and knowledge. Food and wine were delicious. Will return again soon.
