The Pembroke Arms

I was out for a 19 mile hike and needed food... I ordered a pizza, time passes, 40 minutes infact, so I enquired my order after another delay I was told it was about to go into the oven! The place isn't busy either. You must understand that I'm out for a hike, it's October and there's only so many hours of daylight... 15 or more minutes pass and I gety pizza... I eat it I've walked 12 miles already, I was hungry.. a third of it was fine, a third over cooked and a third under cooked... And no table check whilst I was eating.So not to be recommended if you have any time constraints ..

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, comfy bed, staff attentive but not intrusive, overall ambiance just what you want from a pub/hotel. Food was great lovely pizza Saturday night, great half English breakfast and wonderful Sunday lunch. Cosy fire, good selection of beers, we’ll be back!

What a lucky find. we were travelling to Portsmouth and wanted somewhere to stay on the way and what a fabulous find. Everything about our stay was perfect, the welcome, the room, restaurant and the level of customer service was exceptional by everyone we met. Dinner and breakfast were great with high quality ingredients. Their pies are seriously good 👍 Thank you for a fabulous stay. We will definitely be back.

I couldn’t face a soulless hotel and this place delighted me from the start! Friendly people, fresh brownies and milk on arrival, lovely room and wonderful food- I plan to return! Loved the woke, hipster vibe! Not at all pretentious tho. Will try the pizza next time! Lovely.

A charming hotel/pub/restaurant. The staff were absolutely lovely and the food in the restaurant was great. Breakfast was also delicious. It was my birthday and I was given a glass of prosecco and a brownie with whipped cream and candles for dessert. A lovely touch. There is a nice big garden area, and they even provide blankets and hats in case you're cold. The common areas in the hotel are very comfortable with couches and armchairs and a log fire in one of the rooms. I am giving four stars because we had a great time but be aware that the room is more basic than the price suggests (£158 for the night for a twin room, ensuite): no fridge, no safe, no wardrobe, although hangers and hooks are provided to hang clothes. The beds are very comfortable with wonderfully soft and warm duvets and pillows. There was good quality tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and the toiletries were also good quality. On the whole, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Just a one night stay but everything was lovely. Staff was over the top helpful and room was perfect. Would book again if ever in the area. Location was good, situated in a beautiful and peaceful area. Short drive to nearby attractions. Had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and both were delicious.

Great place with a fun young vibe. Great location for visiting Salisbury and Stonehenge. Inn has lots of character and great service at Inn and restaurant. Included breakfast is top notch. Would definitely come back if in the area. ....................

Stayed here 1 night after visiting Stonehenge. Lovely hotel with a kings-and-knights feel to it. Stayed in a room at the front, room has tendency to get warm but has an airco and earplugs :-) Restaurant, beer-/wine/cocktail garden with it, so a pleasant stay. Breakfast is partly buffet (best croissant I ever had) partly to be ordered. True money for what you get. Won' t mind to stay again, if I'm in the neighbourhood again!
