We were extremely disappointed in our experience at the Courtyard by Marriott in Willoughby. We have now heard from many of our friends and relatives who stayed there. My wife and I stayed there, as did our son, the groom, our other sons and friends (groomsmen and bridesmaids). and other family members. I understand about covid, but some of this was unacceptable, and, in particular, did not come close to meeting the standards we are accustomed to for the Marriott brand (I have been a loyal rewards member for many years).. --Trash piled up in rooms with no housekeeping service, and not even plastic bags available at the front desk --No normal sized towels, only small towels or small pool towels. This was really unbelievable. --No communication to us in advance that any of this was going to happen. So, picture the bridegroom on his wedding day, along with the parents of the bride,and the bridesmaids and groomsmen all getting ready for the big day with no housekeeping, trash piled up in the room, and having small pool towels for taking a shower. As you can imagine, everyone was pretty disgusted.
