Booked at a discount but still about $250 per night, plus parking. Very disappointing. Room was clean but more at a Motel 6 level. No bedspread or extra blanket, uninspired b/w sketches on the walls, no "Colonial Williamsburg" ambiance, defective TV remote, cramped bathroom with no tub, carpet that appeared threadbare, and no housekeeping until 3pm. Reasonable if under a hundred a night but at the prices charged? Avoid, avoid, avoid.

My husband and I visit the area regularly but this was our first time staying in Colonial Williamsburg. Love the location of the lodge - proximity to the inn, downtown, and The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club. However, the food quality and service were not to the level we'd expected with the exception of our server at breakfast the last day (Edmund). Starting with lunch at the club upon arrival, I was served a crudite with spoiled cucumbers. The following day, we had drinks on the Terrace which took ~30 minutes to arrive and dinner (following) was cold pizza. As far as accomodations, they were clean and quiet; however, decor was plain and uninspring. The location will bring us back but we'll dine off site next time. The few meals we had in town were all WONDERFUL!

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at the Williamsburg Lodge, an Autograph Collection hotel, where I encountered unacceptable conditions that have compelled me to take action. As a long-time Gold Status Bonvoy member, I have always trusted Marriott to provide quality accommodations, and I was eagerly looking forward to my visit. However, upon arrival, I was horrified to find my initial room in a deplorable state. The bathroom ceiling was falling apart-hanging down and peeling paint posed a significant hazard. When I approached the front desk, the manager feigned surprise, claiming it was the first complaint they had received. After viewing several other rooms—each similarly in disrepair—I was shown a room that reeked of animal urine. The manager suggested this was a building-wide issue and assured me it would be reported. However, my concerns were dismissed as I encountered further evidence of neglect, including a leaking ceiling in the hallway and missing tiles-a bucket was thrown haphazardly under it to catch the water. A housekeeper I spoke to confirmed that there had been ongoing complaints about my specific room. With children in tow, I felt it was entirely unsafe to remain in such an environment. Unfortunately, I was told my only options were to stay in my original room or move to the one with the odor. With no other accommodations available due to Homecoming I was forced to pack my family back into the car after an exhausting eight-hour drive. After a further 90-minute journey, I found a hotel in Virginia Beach at an additional cost of $1,000. This was not an expense I had anticipated, and it is utterly unacceptable that I had to incur this due to the negligence of the Williamsburg Lodge. This situation has not only caused significant financial strain but has also turned what should have been a fun family getaway into a distressing experience.

Quiet and comfortable room (standard King in the lodge) not anything remarkable as far as decor. However, several areas need repair/paint in room. Could use a second wing chair since 2 people usually use a King- plenty of space for one. Wing chair had a slight tear. Tiny bathroom- size of a water heater enclosure. No counter space around sink. Only a tube of toothpaste will fit. Sink is the size of a small bar sink. Not what is expected for a 400+night room. Very disappointing. Closet door is janky and inside clapboard walls need refinishing. Elevator barely fits two people. Walls are rotting wood. I have since learned that the nicer/recent renovated Rooms with larger bathrooms are in the buildings across from the main lodge. Did have a large, relaxing well appointed lobby. Very nice spa/gym. Pool was clean but can not accommodate many guests. Restaurant was nice and tasty for dinner.

Very authentic recreation of colonial times with all the modern amenities. Outstanding service from just about everyone we encountered, especially Kiley at the front desk. Strongly recommend staying here. Stayed at the Nicholas Guest House and it was a spacious room.

Bait and Switch on rate. My rate said it included breakfast on the reservation, had it in writing. Asked to speak to GM to resolve the issue, won’t let me, thought the front desk gentleman Curtis finally agreed after being totally nasty. At breakfast had us sign a slip said breakfast was $25 but $O was owed. Got first email with invoice that didn’t have charge on it. Hours later sent another email that charged us. I had to rooms so was charged $50. Curtis was very nasty and very devious! Hopefully this is not hotel policy!

The location is excellent for visiting either William & Mary or Colonial Williamsburg. The staff were amazingly helpful, especially the bellmen. They provide a free shuttle within a mile of the lodge, from 7am to 7pm. The rooms are located in many buildings and some are a good long walk from the lobby. Although my room was spacious and the housekeeping staff were wonderful and detailed (so the room was very clean), there were a few issues that made me give 4 vs 5 stars. The bed was a bit too soft for my taste, my room was next to an ice machine and elevators and outer door, so noise from one or more of these was frequent (so thankful I packed earplugs). My room door did not always close all the way, which the housekeeping staff kindly alerted me to. The bar was so crowded in the evening we had to get drinks at the bar and go to the lobby to chat with colleagues. Mini fridge in the room. Overall, I would stay here again due to the shuttle (though I wish it went up to 3 or 5 miles). I had an injury that made getting around difficult; while the shuttle was a lifesaver in this regard, the long walk to the room was unfortunate. No question this is a nice facility with exceptional staff, but minor issues that one would not expect at this price point.

The location is excellent, and the rooms spacious. The general feel of the hotel is welcoming and characterful. The room we stayed in - in the "Annex" above the parking garage - was a little out of the way. It was also showing its age in various ways. Some paint peeling off the bathroom ceiling. A big clunking fridge, no coffee machine or complementary water. The air conditioning was very loud and turned on and off at 5 minute intervals. While the room seemed generally to be clean, we had the unpleasant surprise of some used underwear falling from the top of the shower curtain when it was first pulled shut! So housekeeping standards clearly leave something to be desired...

Upon arriving. We were instructed to go to drive to a seperate building to park and where the other part of the hotel was. When we got up to the room it was super outdated and smelled a bit but nothing compared to the size of the Roach that was on the shower curtain. Picture included. Doesn’t do it justice as it was way bigger than it looks. Was a very disappointing experience
