I stayed here last year. What a difference a year makes! This time I found the room #136 did not smell fresh. (Why I was put in the pet room, I do not know.) I went out and purchased Febreze. The pillows were not comfortable. I was not greeted as an Honors member upon check-in. Though the breakfast hosts were excellent, the breakfast items themselves were lacking in choice and taste. There was no light outside the rear door. I do not plan to return or recommend this property.

Worse hotel stay EVER!! Not only was their system down the entire stay- we could not get a room key and they had man that would follow you to your room to let you in! No wifi although we were told each time we asked ‘ should be restored soon’ The worse part was at 11:15pm they gave another client a key to our room!! Yes by then they could make keys - still no WiFi!! Pretty scary when you are asleep and hear your door being opened especially when a stranger has been escorting you to your room The room smelled! And the sheets had a blood spot that must have not come out in wash! Needless to say we ll never go there again!

Have stayed at this Hampton multiple times over the years while visiting Colonial Williamsburg. Desk staff was helpful, even when they were short-staffed and stressed. They made sure we got the rooms I had requested and had all the information we needed for our stay. In the middle of our first night, we had teens playing "Ding Dong Ditch" on all the doors, and staff was quick to come up and end the game. (Might be fun for the kids, but scary for us tired travelers!) Breakfast was typical hotel fare, but worked to get us going in the mornings. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean, and all for a great price! Glad we came back this year, and will plan to see you again sometime!

As soon as you enter the hotel you are welcomed by a smell that we could not place, we thought maybe urine but no it smelled worse than that. The room didn’t smell as bad but still scented. The walls are paper thin I could hear every word of the conversation of the family in the room next door. So you’re waking up with whichever neighbor gets up earliest. The mini fridge made ungodly noises so I had to pull it out, put something underneath it and a suitcase on top to get it to stop. The breakfast was bland and boring. The rooms were clean and roomy.

I've stayed at many Hamptons, and I would rate this one as average due to its location and the number of tourists. The hotel could use a good cleaning. My main complaint was the customer service. We had an issue with our toilet that kept running and wouldn't shut off. The front desk was unhelpful, saying they'd have someone look at it in the morning, which meant it ran all night. There was no offer to change rooms or even an apology.

Would’ve given 4 stars but the WiFi was out our entire trip, making it impossible to complete work from our room. Our hotspot signals were also blocked by the hotel building which resulted in a lot of trips to find WiFi at other places. This would not have been an issue (we could have stayed somewhere else or at a different Hilton property) except the hotel did not notify us that the WiFi was out (it had been out for multiple days previous to our check in), and upon check in the front desk clerk gave me instruction on how to log on- knowing full well that the internet hadn’t worked in days. So my biggest tip is that if you need the internet- stay somewhere else, not only is it unreliable but Hilton seems to think it’s okay to lie to customers. Also- management was not onsite and the desk clerk informed me that she could not get in contact with them, so I’d just stay somewhere else, there are plenty of other options. Edited to add: after completing an online survey detailing our experience, Hilton did issue me half off one night as a consultation. We stayed for three nights and never had working WiFi so I’m not really “consoled” by half off one night.

We stayed here for five nights. The front desk staff is friendly. Check-in was easy. The rooms were very clean, which was great. The rest of the hotel seems very worn — a lot of traffic goes through. When we walked into the hotel every day, the trash outside was always overflowing and there were lots of cobwebs in the vestibule where they have the luggage carts. Not a welcoming site. The breakfast is decent, nice that it’s included but don’t expect anything healthy at all. The breakfast staff is a tad rude. Coffee and tea are available all day, which was nice to have. Housekeeping cleans your room every other day (listed on the bathroom mirror) but if you call down and ask for additional things like toilet paper, they will bring them to you. We did ask for a light bulb to be replaced and it never came. Location was excellent driving to restaurants and Williamsburg along with other attractions. Would I return? Maybe but only because the rooms were clean since that is a plus in my book.

One of many Hamptons I’ve stayed at. Not impressed with the VERY modest offerings at breakfast - have had better Hampton breakfasts. Clean facilities and room - pleasant staff. I’m surprised there was no recycling bin for plastics. Convenient location to CW.

My two daughters and I have been coming to this Hampton Inn for many years in the spring for our annual spa getaway at the Spa of Colonial Williamsburg which is quite fabulous too! We get the 2 Queen Suite which is plenty of room for the three of us. Location is great for any trip to Williamsburg but is very close to the historic part of the city. The room is always clean, breakfast very pleasing and well stocked. A "shout out" to Tasha, at the front desk, who helped with a slight hiccup that I created on our last trip with the way I booked my room online. She got everything straighten out and was pleasant about the trouble I caused.
