After a concert by the chansonnier Sebastian Krämer, whom we greatly admire, in Wiesbaden, we spent a night in this hotel, which we had chosen because it was close to the venue. Our expectations were not high, as the hotel is rather cheap and has a not particularly inviting exterior, but in the end it was a very pleasant stay. Apart from a few minor things that are not important in my opinion and can therefore be left unmentioned, we were greeted by a pleasant atmosphere, a spacious room (comfort category), a bathroom of the same size, which was equipped with enough storage space, a bathtub and shower, and a window. It is very rare for us to experience our request for flat pillows being met, which made it all the more pleasing that this was the case here. The breakfast (at the reasonable price of 15 euros per person) obviously did not offer any culinary highlights, but was completely adequate in my opinion. There was delicious fresh bread (this is not a given either) as well as all kinds of rolls, croissants, pain au chocolat, etc. Beautifully decorated bowls with various spreads complemented the usual, but here high-quality, selection of cheese, sausage, fruit, cereals and juice. The only complaint is that the breakfast room, which houses the highly acclaimed Schwarzbach restaurant in the evenings, looks a little dreary in daylight. Incidentally, the same friendly employee helped us both at reception and in the service.
