Can't believe the negative reviews..... This place is way way better than it's price point... Beautiful rooms, amazing staff and the restaurant is amazing? What's not to like? Switched to here as was staying here for business and fed up with the Premier Inn being so bad..so glad I did! If you work away and have the option to book this place then book it!

Came to a family party close by so this hotel was very convenient - in walking distance. Reading some of the reviews I was a little worried what Hillcrest would be like but honestly I would stay here again. The reception area was clean and tidy as was the bar and restaurant. Check in was efficient and all staff and other guests very friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy with a good selection of towels, toiletries and a Nespresso coffee machine. Beds were comfortable and the hotel and surrounding area quiet to allow for a good night’s sleep. For a couple of nights for a visit to the area I would stay here again

For all you little sad people dissing this hotel for the people that have been put in here by the council, you need to suck a big one... All come from silver spooned tables for a cheap place to stay go spend ye money else where bunch of farts. Yeah the staff and place is run down why you think the council put them here cause the don't give a rats about them.

Spent from Tuesday 16th to Thursday 18th in here I'm a disabled person in wheelchair cost me £237.00 plus pence was told room was adapted for disabled which it wasn't the room was freezing apparently there was no heating at all in hotel I really struggled to get out of the bed back into my chair the shower was a static shower so couldn't wash my feet no heated towel the place stank of **** lots of homeless people with kids running round I went to reception to see if could get discount on room was told they would get manager to ring me if course I've heard nothing have phoned twice since then still nothing DONT BOTHER COMPLETE RUBBISH & RIP OFF IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NO STARS I WOULD 😡😡😡😡😡

Absolute disgrace! Came here for a drink before heading to Pesto, we used to come here all of the time back in the day so thought we’d try the Onyx bar. It’s had loads of money spent on it and if you fancy spending time drinking with crack heads, feral children running around the outside area with smack head mums doing anything they can but parent and pyjama wearing smokers standing outside the entrance lobby then this is the place for you! NEVER AGAIN!

I went to a business meeting with Cemex 05/03/201924 on arrival asked to put my car reg in a tablet with it being a new car I put a digit wrong yes my fault but the staff did not make you aware if you put the wrong details in you will receive a fine of £60 pound which I came home to tonight 11/03/2024.

Absolutely fantastic staff and service. I arrived in the evening. The room was amazing, but the TV didn't come on. Called down to reception, the lady was lovely, very apologetic, saying someone will come up . A really nice man came up to try and fix it. When they couldn't, the receptionist came up to apologise as he had, and moved me to another room, just as nice. Then the gentleman brought me a complimentary bottle of wine to apologise. Outstanding customer service. The owner should be proud of the staff.

I usually only write if it’s been a brilliant outing or a terrible one, I’m glad to say this is a brilliant one. First time visiting the hillcrest in along time for Christmas lunch, we didn’t know what to expect but they got it nailed on 100%. From the welcoming, drinks service, food deliverance and staff attentiveness it was all brilliant. You would never have expected with the quality you where in the middle of Widnes. We will be back for sure and will be back to try the restaurant out in the new year. Thanks for a memorable Christmas outing.
