The Glendalough Hotel is perfect for exploring the many trails surrounding the Glendalough Ecclesiastical Settlement.
Our room was clean, bedding was comfortable and the check in process was easy. The hotel offers a great outdoor space, was very quiet, our room was large, shower was great after a long day of hiking. Tea and coffee provided in the room. Breakfast and onsite restaurant food were average.
There are two restaurants within walking distance.
Hotel staff was attentive, courteous and went above and beyond to meet our needs. They even offered porridge and vegan sausage.
Improvement would be to invest in small room refrigerators.
We would definitely stay here again.

Unfassbar schlecht geführtes Hotel: es wird nicht auf Wünsche eingegangen. Kein Adapter vorhanden, normalerweise ein Standardservice. Zimmer werden nicht geputzt, Mülleimer nur manchmal geleert, Bett nicht gemacht. Freudloses Personal ( bis auf die junge Frau, die das Frühstück serviert!) und ein muffiger geschäftsführer, der nicht grüßt. Das alles für einen solchen Preis? Unfassbar schlechte Leistung, liebe Menschen im Hotel.Offenbar hat man es vor dem Hintergrund der schönen Landschaft "nicht nötig". Kleiner Nachsatz: das Frühstück ist gut. So komme ich auf gar keinen Fall wieder, sehr schade

Amazing location that allowed us to take advantage of the quiet mornings and evenings - after the tour buses leave. Comfortable beds, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast. Front desk staff could use some customer service coaching.

Great location right on the lough so easy to start walks straight from your room instead of having to drive there first. Due to its location it is very expensive for the quality and the whole hotel is very dated. If you don’t mind paying over the odds for the location and very basic quality then it’s OK. There are a lot more cheaper B&B options in the village.

Old hotel with a pub and restaurant right next to lots of walking and hiking trails. We had a nice old room on first floor overlooking river and valley. It was offseason in early April, so no people congestion anywhere. One could see how busses full of people probably clot the place up in high season.
