Whyalla Hotels with Swimming Pools

Surrounded by beautiful parklands, this motel occupies a beachside position with water views, just 2 minutes’ drive from Whyalla town centre. Each room at Whyalla Foreshore Motor Inn includes TV, air conditioning and a refrigerator. All rooms have either ocean views or views of the Ada Ryan Gardens. Internet access is available in every room. Free car parking is provided outside each room's door. Whyalla Airport is only a 10-minute drive from Foreshore Motor Inn Whaylla. It is a 7-minute drive to Whyalla Maritime Museum.

All the inclusions I needed for a 3 night stay with kitchen utensils, large fridge, living and dining area. Bathroom and Bedrooms were a generous size and would suit 2 couples. Loved the small touches on arrival and the check in process was seamless. It was a quick walk to the foreshore, perfect for a morning walk or an evening stroll after work. Great location!

Upon arrival we discover that the motel has a faceless and remote checkin. You enter the unmanned reception area to come face to face with a person in another country on a video screen, looking surprised at our arrival. No hotel staff to be seen. An immediate worry. She assumed that a text message sent whilst we were driving (at this point unopened as it resembled spam) was enough explanation to get us settled into our room. She kindly spat out of a copier (luckily it had paper) the information we required for our stay. As we made our way up the stairs to our room, there was an occupational health and safety issue that required immediate attention. I went back into robot land to report the issue. She explained that there will not be anyone on site until the next day and that nothing could be done! I remedied the situation myself to save the owners from a possible lawsuit. Once we navigated our way inside the unit, it was small and functional but unclean, with former dispensers still installed but since abolished, and dirty soft furnishings. To their credit there was adequate supply of extras in the fridge and kitchen and bathroom, and a lovely new floating floorboard in the main room. We had had a huge day driving and a nine hour drive the next day. Our night was a disaster - the neighbouring customer of our room played loud music and then tv, interspersed with loud bouts of prolonged coughing throughout the entire evening. The motel is on a noisy main road as well. Other accomodation we have stayed in gives one an opportunity to voice a complaint that will be quickly addressed because the owners ARE ON SITE! In this location, we had no one to discuss issues with, give local advice/directions/info. Just a cold wooden person with no interest in your well being, on the other side of the world. I guess this is what budget motel is - pay peanuts, get monkeys.

we stayed a night and the entire room and bathroom was disgusting the sheets and pillows had not been washed there was black pubic hair all over the sheets doona cover and our pillows. The doona was on backwards and the bed was shoved in at the sides and the mattress cover was hanging in a big heap at the end of the bed there was rubbish under the bed the carpet had not been vacuumed for so long there was dust matted against the wall all the way around the room. There was dust everywhere windows blinds sills even the cabinet above the fridge. The fridge was split in two places top of door and held on with some metal bracket that looked so not right the seal in it was golden yellow, a power point with a big hole on its side in the wall, the kettle was yuck the water was terrible, The bathroom had not been cleaned at all the wall was dirty there was grime in the base of shower in corners the mirrors were dirty the taps on the sink were gross with green corrosion on them more than a little, there was a soap dispenser which looked ancient and it was broken open looked unsightly and black mold growing under its base. The tv was dirty marks on it and the air conditioner had so much dust on both filters had not been cleaned in at least 6 to 12 months, Not impressed and they did not offer a refund which was not professional at all. All in all their customer service in their accommodation area was rude and inconsiderate and it really showed it is all about taking your money and who cares what or how clean your room is and how hygienic your stay is!!!!!

Lovely greeting when we checked in. We stayed in a Delux Family Room which has 2 separate bedrooms and large lounge/dining/kitchen area with washer/drier in bathroom. Kitchen though only has a microwave and frypan, with pots and pans in the drawers, but no stove or oven to use them. Overall a good nights stay with comfortable beds.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. There was a restaurant within walking distance which was very convenient. The cabin was modern, clean, fresh and inviting. The rooms were spacious and included a large combined lounge, dining and kitchen area, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water. I would recommend this establishment as a great place to stay.
