We booked a 2-night seaside stay at the Premier Inn Whitstable, Kent. The hotel is strategically located just outside Whitstable town centre, with bus stops directly outside the hotel for travel to/from Whitstable and...Canterbury, Faversham, and Margate. Note: senior ‘Freedom’ passes from London are valid on the buses !! The hotel has a friendly reception and secure entry & exit to the rooms. The rooms are very spacious (with a spare single bed), large TV, tea/coffee making, and good en-suite bathroom (with rain-shower over the bath) AND the ‘famously-advertised’ super-comfortable double bed with ample additional bedding. We had a room on the 1st floor and had no noise interruptions from any of the rooms or corridors. The optional breakfast is in an adjacent dining-room building – via a short 2 minute walk – with buffet (fresh fruit/juice, cereals, toast/croissants/muffins, tea/coffee) and cooked food options. For the latter, we chose the ‘full English’ comprising #2 poached eggs & bacon, black pudding, tomato, mushrooms. sausage and baked beans…..far better prepared than many 5-star hotels we’ve stayed at !! Note: Kids eat free. The only downside [actually more ‘area for improvement’ than downside] was the weak water pressure in the shower…that’s all !! We would highly-recommend the Premier Inn for anyone wanting to explore Whitstable [for scrumptious oysters, crab, fish & meats; boutique shops; boat trips etc.] or Canterbury [Cathedral, Christmas markets, shopping etc.].

Does the job, somewhere to stay. Parking good. Place is shabby and not best kept. The rooms and overall appearance is in need of a make over Free parking Plenty of tea coffee sachets Restaurant closed but the hotel is using it. Breakfast is very good but for an evening meal don't bother.

We always enjoy our stay here at the Whitstable Premier Inn. Clean rooms, comfortable, all basic facilities and excellent, extremely helpful staff. We had a slight problem with our room in our October stay. First time we asked for help it wasn't dealt with...but then we spoke to Kate and she was fantastic - straight away got things sorted without any further fuss. We have stayed again since and also in Herne Bay Premier Inn too. Highly recommend, thanks!

Stayed for one night. Room was spotless. This Premier Inn is perfect if visiting Whitstable, 20min walk into town no hassle of parking rooms spotless lovely breakfast. Be aware that walking back may be an issue uphill all the way.

Our room had vomit from the previous room user on the outside of the toilet bowl, our evening meal didn’t turn up after 1 hour and 45 minutes, the resturant was 15 minutes late opening to begin with..the manger didn’t even say sorry and just sat in her chair swinging and rolling her eyes,Breakfast was awful as well, orders wrong and when food arrived it was cold and hardly cooked at all..so all in all a terrible visit and I definitely will not recommend going there or paying for the dire food..an awful experience for me and my family.

We came down to see family and like the general reliability of the Premier Inn chain so it is usually our first choice. This one was going through some refurbishment of the restaurant and it's fair to say the restaurant area was a bit tired looking. There was only 'cook to order' available for breakfast which in itself wasn't a problem but there seemed to only ever be one member of staff on - the same person we'd seen at reception - so things were a bit slow at times, including replenishment of the contintental breakfast items and coffee machine. It turns out there were other staff on but they didn't seem to be doing much. I didn't get his name but he deserves kudos for being everywhere, apparently doing everything and still smiling and being very engaging. (Skinny legs - another guest commented on them at breakfast and he dealt with such a personal comment quite charmingy). Breakfast was great - poached eggs done perfectly. Room as expected although the shower was a bit of a disappointment - 'weak' is the only way to describe it. All in all though, another successful visit - thank you!

We stayed in room one, which has the unfortunate position of being next to the door to the stairs, so we were disturbed several times throughout the night with this banging. The trip however was saved by the service we received from Crystal in the restaurant. She was cheerful, helpful and extremely professional going out of her way to help us. We had a great breakfast, got lots of tips of where to park and visit in Whitstable she really was a star. Great service made up for disappointing nights sleep!
