No checking desk so you just have to ask at the Bar, pillows weren’t to my liking but that’s my personal preference. Otherwise great place to stay staff were friendly and helpful and the place was clean food and drink were good and the room was really nice but no view. 5 minutes by car down to the front or jump on the bus opposite really enjoyed our stay. What I did like was the bike station out side to repair or work on your cycle 🚲 including pumping your tyres

They are all girls who love to be clean. It’s good, the world cannot exist without girls. It’s just that it’s hard to find it when it’s dark. The train was delayed for the first time and I couldn’t find the way late at night. Google Navigation sucked me and went around to the other side. There was also a little fox with green eyes. It was the only one at night. Just the green eyes are dazzling, and the hair on the hair is standing on end. The next day I discovered that the road next to it was a cemetery. It's quite scary. It's easy to find at dawn.

'Victorian Seaside Fun' perfectly captures the vibe of La Rosa! Such a beautifully detailed and quirky gem, brimming with character and soul. You're immersed in their eclectic collection of antiques and oddities as soon as you step off the pavement. Everywhere you look, there's something interesting to see, read, explore, and enjoy. The cocktail library is such a treat, too. We felt truly spoiled having such a cool and cozy bar just downstairs! The music was always on point 👌🏻 Now, the rooms... I've never been so reluctant to leave a hotel room. We stayed in 'Stoker' on our first night, and 'La Rosa' on our second... We were only supposed to stay one night, but fell in love with the hotel and had to stay another night! Both rooms are dreamy. The beds are crazy comfortable. The views of the sea and the Abbey were so special. The large bathtubs and complimentary bubble bath were a very welcome touch... The water was hot, and the bubbles were big. What more could you ask for? And yes, two people will fit in them 😁 The staff were every much as part of the charm. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, personable, and relaxed. We were well taken care of and made to feel right at home, without being unnecessarily fussed over or interrupted. It felt like the staff immediately understood what we wanted from our stay and delivered it seamlessly. Just perfect! Needless to say, we loved everything about this hotel and can't wait to visit again. Thank you, La Rosa, for making our stay in Whitby so special! 🥰
Felt like a local. From point of booking to saying goodbye, we were made to feel like valued regular local customers. We decided to eat here as a little break from our hotel - it got good reviews and was dog friendly (that was an understatement). Steeped in history in a quaint Yorkshire village, I felt like I was on the set of a TV show, about to walk into my local for a pint. Staff were attentive and friendly. This place saves the bells and whistles and instead offers excellent value, terrific portions, and outstanding taste. I felt like I had my dinner made by grandma! You can stay the night here and I can only imagine that you will end up in a family Whattsapp group afterwards, because honestly, you are made to feel so welcome. We reluctantly left after dinner, but legitimately could have stayed all night having a few drinks and swapping stories. Gorgeous vibes. Roaring fire. Kind souls.

A great little guesthouse in an idyllic location. Wonderfully friendly owners greet you when you arrive, and explain everything perfectly. A parking voucher is available, for a small fee, allowing very close parking (at least in October). Give yourself a little bit of preparation to tackle the stairs if you are on the top floors. Breakfast was superb, a great choice on offer. The room I had was of a very good size, perfectly clean, with all the facilities you would need. My only tiny gripe was that the electrics in the room were a little inconsistent. I would definitely recommend this hotel, certainly served me well, and if I return to Whitby would happily stay here again.

Discover these places worth visiting in Whitby and select a hotel nearby for ultimate convenience
Whitby Abbey
Ssuifeng2019The solitary monastery on the cliffs, which Bram Stoke had seen, was so broken and vicissitudes that he gazed at the northern coastline. The towering columns and famous rib arches were so majestic and silently recounting what had happened.
Whitby Harbour
KKat1220📍Whitby, UK
The coast of Whitby is beautiful, it is a port and is connected to the sea.
Walking up from the commercial street, you can reach Whitby Abbey. Outside the abbey, there is a vast sea along the cliff. This kind of wilderness makes people feel free and peaceful~
But please note that the wind is strong at the beach, so keep warm
Whalebone Arch
MMonkeyoThe attraction is not big, a small place, but in the middle of the abbey, you can enjoy a lot of beautiful scenery. If you go, you must go and see it. The scenery is charming and very local.
Falling Foss Tea Garden
1137***66If you want to come to Fallen Foss Tea Garden and Waterfall to see the waterfall, you must pay attention to choose the waterfall period, so that the waterfall is more magnificent and interesting, the climate is suitable, and the hike is suitable but ~
Captain Cook Statue
Jjuki235Whitby was the first British sailor to reach Australia and New Zealand, where Captain Cook, the famous British navigator, set off. On the high ground on the coast of Whitby, stood his bronze statue, very tall and majestic, symbolizing Britain's past dream of a powerful maritime power.
