Blackcomb Lodge is a winter wonder den! Nestled near the slopes, it's all about ski, sleep, repeat. The vibe is cozy chic, and the hot cocoa is on point. Perfect crash pad for snow junkies!

The hotel front desk was rude and misleading. We wanted to cancel hotel reservation because of Road closure due to BC wildfires and they informed us that they cannot do that, only ******* can do that but they will help us. They said that they are ready for cancellation and they are happy to refund full amount if ******* agrees, They even made us call ******* and Write Emails to ******* for cancellation. However, They lie about cancellation policy and they did not have any intention of cancelling reservations or issuing refund. They fail to admit this and communicate this even despite numerous calls. They are saying 1 thing to us and another thing to *******. They could have simply made this process simpler by saying that they will not do cancellations or issue refund. No need for so much back and forth for hours.

The management here was fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance of the lifts, and of stores, restaurants, pharmacies, etc. The room we had was fairly quiet even though we were on the middle of a party town on a holiday weekend. The only complaint we have is about the front desk staff. We requested hand towels be brought to our room, but the person at the desk at the time seemed to only pretend to care. Unsurprisingly, we never were brought towels and when we came back late, we just made due with what we had. I'm certain the managers would have done it themselves if they'd been at the desk at the time.

The hotel is very private and guests who are not staying are not allowed to enter. Very quiet and safe.
The facilities of the old hotel are well maintained.

I’ve stayed in Whistler many times at different hotels and have never had an issue like this. After my stay at Blackcomb Lodge for one day, I was charged $250 CAD without any prior notice. When I called to ask for details, I was told it was for a “broken TV.” However, I never used or touched the TV, as I spent the entire day outside and only returned to the room to sleep. When I asked for clarification on what “broken” meant, I was told to call back later and the call was ended without explanation. Very disappointing experience, especially the lack of communication and transparency. I would not stay here again at all based on this experience.

Unfortunately a bad experience. Great location, but facilities are not well kept and they run a skeleton crew. Terrible service, not clean, housekeeping only once in a 7 night stay. Would never stay there again.

Avoid staying here at all cost. It is easily the worse hotels in Whistler that I stayed at - and I’ve stayed in hostels there! From the pile of garbage that greets you in the parking garage, to the dilapidated doors and hallways that Lead to the front desk/ the entire way in just gets worse. The front desk clerk was rude and appears as though they could care less about anything and especially you. I wrote them at check it and they have yet to respond. The room is beyond terrible and we payed for the king and double twin. It has not been upgraded since maybe the 1980s? Broken light switches, rust and mold in the bathroom, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, a tarp keeping rain out on the roof, I could go on and on. What is that smell in the hallway? To top it off - the beds have not been replaced in what I am guessing is more than ten years. There is literally a divot in the mattress where people sleep and springs to greet your back in the bottom. It is truly shocking how bad of an experience this was for an $800 per night room. I hope this review and pictures help our people in finding anywhere else to stay.

We had an excellent stay: friendly and accommodating staff; easy access; good parking; easy stroll to slopes with access to both Blackcomb and Whistler lifts; in the middle of all amenities. Great value. Looking forward to returning. Thank you for a great stay.

TLDR: Instead of judging this lodge based on broken amenities, I rated them based on how issues were handled. Aside from the hot water not working, the hotel was nice. However, this hotel FAILED MISERABLY in handling issues and ghosted us/our travel agent when trying to get in contact with management. This hotel does not operate by the virtues of hospitality, unfortunately, but by the law of power below: - “The strong do what they can, and the weak do what they must.” During our stay, the hot water did not work for 80% of our 5-night stay in mid Feb due to a water boiler failure. Reading through reviews, this issue appeared to have happened multiple times over the years. Benny, the manager, made arrangements for ALL Blackcomb Lodge hotel guests to use the pool bathroom at the Hilton, a 7-minute walk down the street. The male pool bathroom had ONE SHOWER FOR ALL BLACKCOMB LODGE GUESTS AND HILTON POOL USERS ALIKE, a sink, one toilet, and 1-meter bench, with as much walking room as a parking space. Imagine 6 different guys in there, all from the Blackcomb Lodge, who do not know each other, all changing and trying to take 2-minute showers, bumping into each other half-naked, and trying to change back into their winter clothes/wool socks/boots while standing on a soaking wet pool tile floor. Pool goers running in and out to use the bathroom while you’re covering up in the corner with a towel. Blackcomb touted this place as a “spa” before we went to shower there. While rubbing shoulders with the other guests, we learned that the Blackcomb front desk claimed the issue “just happened” right before each guest’s check-in, which were all on different days. The 7-minute walk back with damp hair was enough to get you chilled as it was -13 deg C that week and windy. To our surprise, the Blackcomb Lodge front desk stated that using the Hilton pool bathroom was our refund, and that they would not reconcile the situation in any other way. Honestly, this was uncomfortable, but if the hotel manager would have recognized the inconvenience of this solution and offered a partial refund, I’d still give this place 5 stars. Instead, they kept telling us that it wasn’t that bad and gas-lit us that we actually had been given a really nice perk at the Hilton. Benny, the manager, is a COWARD who will make every attempt to ghost communications so as to avoid even having a conversation about his hotel’s shortcomings. Neither I, my wife, nor my travel agent were able to get hold of him over a 1-week period, in which we called approximately 10 times when they said the manager would be there. We planned our lives around calling back when the front desk said he would be there, and still could not get him to pickup the phone. I genuinely believe this is their strategy: 1. The front desk has no authority to issue any sort of refund or compensation. 2. The manager is never there when you call or visit the desk when he knows you want to talk about a refund/c
