Service was all basic and straight forward

Nice clean room with shower ..great mattress and quite place

This is probably one of the most friendly establishment I have ever visited. Really made to feel at home. The bar is basically a pub but with very reasonable prices and locals who maintain a good and friendly craic. Facilities are good. Only real complaint was that there was no heating on until later in the year but they would offer you a heater if you wanted one.

Poor one night stay -Broken window that wouldn’t close meaning we had very little sleep due to the noise -Bed/mattress that is very noisy which also caused issues when trying to sleep, you could feel the springs digging in to you when lying in bed -Dirty carpet, shower and shower head grimy -Broken furniture making it difficult to use the drawers -Damp patches on the walls that have been painted over -Wallpaper coming off the walls -Toilet that would not flush Complained to *********** as that’s who we booked through, we were refused any form of compensation despite only being in the hotel for a few hours and leaving the minute the doors were unlocked

Booked this fairly late for a b/H weekend. Perfectly adequate but too far off the town centre for me. Basic room, decent shower, everything you'd expect other than shower gel (I spotted as I was leaving that there were a couple of bottles outside on the landing I could have borrowed). Free parking, decent pub with standard selection of beers & stuff. Sport on telly, pool table. Very basic self service breakfast, but better than nothing. Biggest plus was the friendly staff. Chatty, helpful & efficient I wouldn't put anyone off staying here, but I personally, like to be nearer the harbour.

As a local ive always drank here with no problems at all. Today, service was awful, made a complaint due to bad service and get shouted at by landlady saying I'm a b***h. Not good management, not good attitude to a complaint and basically over the past few weeks a noticeable disabolitcal attitude to customers. Never ever drink her again

Everything good here at the hotel. Enjoyed the brief stay and breakfast was very good. Friendly staff especially the barman in the pub downstairs who goes out of his way to make you welcome. It must be a good pub because he has worked here 12 years. Highly recommend.

I came here last weekend with my partner and daughter and we was only coming for the day but ended up booking this hotel last minute. I must say we was very pleased! Nice room, comfy bed and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend this as a place to stay and we will definitely be booking to stay again when we next make a visit! Thank you so much again, we had a lovely stay! X

Where to begin? First I was a single male needing just a basic bed and a roof while walking the local sections of the Coast Path. Second, this place was half the price of the local Premier Inn. So on the plus side, plenty of free onstreet parking, my room (No9, in the attic) had a good fan (essential in the June 2023 heatwave), tea coffee and kettle, and hairdryer. Theres a shared guest fridge on the landing. On the downside, the mattress was well beyond its Best Before date and really needs replacing, and the ensuite electric shower could only do cold or hot and also needs replacing. Worse, the breakfast was truly meagre: no cooked option, and value white sliced bread, rice krispies and a fruit bowl does not equal a "continental breakfast".  Where were the croissants, pastries, muesli, fresh coffee, or at least just some decent bread. If the new owners are really interested in improving the place, they should start with the breakfast first. In summary, The Weatherbury was adequate at the price for what I needed, but if you're looking for anything more than "basic" you'll be disappointed.
