Hotel Altstadt Wöllbacher Tor

I spent two very pleasant nights in a large, modern room with a very nice shower room in this privately run hotel and felt really good. The staff are exceptionally friendly and they obviously have a lot of trust in their guests: there is a fridge with drinks on the ground floor that you can help yourself to and then indicate what you took when paying. That speaks volumes for the owners and the guests! An extensive breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. And last but not least, the location: quiet and in the middle of the charming old town. Price and performance are more than satisfactory for the guest. It was definitely the first visit but certainly not the last! Thank you very much!

The hotel is just a few minutes from the cathedral and the old town, on a main road, but we still had a quiet room. It wasn't very modern, but it was big enough, with a desk and separate couch (unfortunately without a coffee table). Very comfortable beds. You have to be careful in the shower: it has neither a door nor a curtain - if you don't want the bathroom to flood, you shouldn't turn the water on too high. Good breakfast with delicious fresh rolls. The hotel offers a few free parking spaces, and if you can't get a space there, the friendly staff will be happy to give you tips on parking spaces nearby. If you come to Wetzlar during Advent, you shouldn't miss the beautiful Christmas market, which takes place on the cathedral square and (really beautiful) on the Schillerplatz. We were the first breakfast guests after the reopening and it won't be the last time we're there. The room was very nice, great new beds. The breakfast was reasonable for the price. The service was great. You couldn't ask for more.

A completely renovated hotel, beautifully done and modern. The in-house restaurant Culinarik is also recommended. Good food, something for everyone but of high quality. The center of Wetzlar is just a few steps away. There is a park opposite.

Very modern hotel, everything very stylishly furnished. Very friendly reception. Rooms and beds great. Bicycles could be safely stored in a function room. Breakfast was fantastic!

An absolutely perfect restaurant visit for Mother's Day with the whole family! Service, food, ambience, everything was great thanks to the great host Camilla and of course our waitress! We immediately booked the Liechtenstein with our friends

simply renovated hotel with a nice bathroom, very good location and clean rooms with good beds, breakfast buffet is OK, nothing special but the friendliness of the service left a lot to be desired, brusque and bossy, we were a bit irritated just because I wanted to order a 5-minute egg

Very nice reception, beautifully renovated rooms and good beds. Unfortunately our room (6) was a little small, but it was in a quiet location. We were able to park our car at the hotel. The hotel is recommended. We would book it again.
