Vacation Village at Weston, Fort Lauderdale

We stayed for six nights in Weston and had a mixed experience overall. Unfortunately, the room was not clean when we arrived late in the evening. The floors were dirty and covered in hairs, and it looked as though they had been mopped with a dirty mop. The porch area also had a distinct smell and very sticky floors, which made it uncomfortable to use. We also found several items left behind, including breakfast cereal behind the bedroom curtains and belongings under the cupboard. As we arrived very late and had cleaning supplies with us from travelling through the Keys, I cleaned the room myself rather than contacting the hotel. In fairness, they may have resolved this if given the opportunity, but housekeeping on arrival is definitely an area that needs improvement. Check‑in at the front desk was acceptable—nothing unpleasant, but not particularly welcoming. We were also charged more at check‑in than the price shown on Trip.com. I contacted Trip.com and they resolved the discrepancy quickly. The room itself was excellent in size. We stayed in a king room with a balcony, which was spacious and comfortable. The hotel’s facilities were a highlight: • The pool area was lovely and open until 11pm. • The hot tub was huge and kept at a perfect temperature. • BBQs and a fire pit were available and added to the overall experience. Location The location was brilliant. It offered easy access to the Everglades, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, making it a great base for exploring South Florida. Despite the significant cleanliness issues on arrival, the hotel’s location, room size, and facilities were excellent. With improvements to housekeeping and a more welcoming check‑in experience, this could be a fantastic place to stay.

We were locked outside of our room during last day of our stay for almost an hour. We were almost late to our cruise because of that.

The service was okay however there were no salt and pepper, no house keeping to clean the premises. No sheets or extra pillows for the sofa bed. Previously staying there it was a bit better.

Our stay overall was very good. We were celebrating our 37th Wedding Anniversary. It’s a beautiful place. The activities guy Mr. Alex was amazing. He did Water aerobics and bingo. His personality and energy was phenomenal! We stayed in Flamingo 1 and the WiFi did not work. We reported the issue at the front desk. Their response it’s a third party company call the number. However they did not give us the number. On our 4th day there we were finally able to connect to WiFi in Flamingo 1. Overall a great trip.

We really enjoyed our stay Oct 2025. The place was fairly quiet which we loved. The $5 smoothies at the pool were an every day requirement! The room was clean and up to date. And it was only a 20 minute drive to Fort Lauderdale Beach which was also quiet and we parked right next to the beach.

This was our second time staying at Weston villages. Very nice resort wonderful pool would definitely stay here again.

I try to go here every summer, but over the years, the resort has deteriorated in value, service, and accountability. For 2 days my building was without AC for 2 days. They knew about this and it wasn't until after I demanded a refund, that they opted to move me into another building with AC. The annoying and incessant sales pitch from the time share reps, left a bad taste in my mouth. None of the gym equipment work for it was missing pieces, the equipment just sat there broken. No one comes on vacation and expect these things this. I will look for another place to reside for my next vacation.

Room had not been cleaned and had to go down to front desk to get new room and keys. Keys continually quit working and front desk said that we would have to contact maintenance ourselves to replace card reader.
