The Feathered Nest Inn

It’s been a good few years since we’ve been to the Feathered Nest since we stumbled across it back in 2011 ! Had a lovely evening - room was great - nice decor, light and airy. Food was excellent as always - backed up by first class service. Breakfast was top notch as well. Only disappointing thing was the weather as it would have been lovely to have spent a couple of hours watching the sun go down with a few drinks in their lovely garden - but we can’t guarantee the weather can we !

Wow what a lunch…it exceeded all expectations! We sat outside overlooking the magnificent view and the food was incredible. Service, drinks everything couldn’t be faulted. Highly recommend, we sat in the garden after lunch and just felt very special. Not cheap but well worth it!

Gorgeous location, stunning views & lovely grounds. The room was fine though a little tired. The service was indifferent at times bordering on unhelpful & unfriendly. The food was disappointing & expensive. We had the crab dish as a starter. It arrived as a pile of long thin bits coated in a very hard, chewy batter & the filling, supposedly crab, was mostly skin, slimy & unpleasant. Foamy bubbles oozed out of the coating when cut. This was served with a pile of thin strips of spring onions sitting on top of the crab. Really not nice. When the waiter came to ask if everything was okay, I felt I had to comment but there was no interest, no apology & no offer any redress. The main course which was lamb, was no better than average. Overall a disappointing stay. Needless to say, we shall not return.

Fantastic place to stay in the Cotswolds. Hotel is stunning and has the most incredible view from the outdoor area. Very quiet location and perfectly located to get around. Best customer service I have ever experienced, particularly from Sue and Gonzalo. Food is amazing and rooms high end. Could not pick one fault, will definitely be back.

Was looking for a cosy, tranquil escape from London life and had been recommended to stay at The Feathered Nest. Decided to stay in their cottage to benefit from the self catering option, and it couldnt have been more perfect for what I was looking for. Everything was impeccable, from the interior decor, to the comfiness of the superking size bed to the huge free standing bath. Being recently pregnant, this was the relaxing escape I was hoping for, and waking up to that insane view of the English countryside was such a treat. The convenience of the kitchen for breakfast and lunch was lovely (and the complimentary snacks - a wonderful touch), but I had to try the restaurant for dinner as i'd heard lots of good things. Tried their new vegetarian offerings (falaffel and the aubergine main) and wow - the kitchen really know how to make vegetables shine. Being a vegetarian I find countryside offerings often know how to serve meat, but their vegetarian options are often a poor after thought. The Feathered Nest is definitely not one of them . Really delicious. The icing on the cake was the evening spent curling up on the sofa in the cottage, with the real fireplace roaring (which the staff kindly helped me set up as i've never used one before!) Would highly recommend a stay here. My stay was faultless, including the warm welcome and hospitality throughout (nothing was too much trouble) and am already planning when I can return. Would give this place 6 out of 5 if I could.

Fantastic food and service. We shared the chateaubriand which was beautifully cooked. Perfect sticky toffee pudding for desert. Really recommend this lovely place. Must return in the summer where they have lovely outside area to sit and admire the view.

Found this place purely by chance, and what a find, absolutely stunning. Just found out that they have accommodation, which we will definitely be booking. Everything was perfect from location, staff and the amazing food. Highly recommend.

We had a reservation for the restaurant and decided at the last minute to stay over. The team were very helpful in arranging our stay and our room, the Cuckoo's Den was beautiful overlooking the valley. When we arrived the radio was playing, which made it feel very welcoming. The furnishing were tasteful and matched the building. We loved the chaise! The bathroom was huge and it was very indulgent to have a bath in the morning. Breakfast was delicious, with several options and all prepared beautifully. The views from the room and the restaurant were stunning, a great place to wake up!
