I accidentally locked myself out of my room at 8PM when going out to my car to get something - I then went to the office - nobody there - didnt answer the phone so I knocked on the door - an old woman with curlers come out really angry and started accusing me of being drunk and chasing *********** on the main road??? I told her - NO Im a resident and wanted to get back into my room. OMG - what a hole this place and the owners - OMG
Place if filthy - TV doesnt work - no cleaning

Had a two night stay in two different rooms as we were not sure if we were staying a second night until later in the day. Both rooms were spacious, great showers, comfortable beds. Kids (9 and 4) both loved the playground and pool. People were absolutely delightful to deal with. Also a great pub across the road for easy dining options. Or there's microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge in the room for an easy stay in meal. We will definitely be staying here when we have to stay a night in Mackay again!

Great older motel, handy to hotel down the rood, servo across, 24 hr IGA around the corner. Comfy beds, friendly staff, great undercover parking, ability to smoke outside your room. Laundry open all the time, even though there is a couple machines

Perfect for an overnight stay while on the road. Was pleasantly surprised that reception was open till 8pm as we arrived at 7:30pm. Great bed and shower. Enjoyed the chocolates in the fridge. Kitchenette facility to prepare breakfast with utensils and washing up was appreciated.

Comfortable older motels with undercover parking. Onsite laundry, pub over the road and a takeaway a few doors down. Good stopover point. Plenty of pots and pans but could do with a sharp knife for food prep. Used by workers who tended to leave very early but as we were only there two nights not too much of an issue.

I loved the spacious parking area! The manager was friendly and helpful. The BBQ area is great, and now they are hosting cool Sunday sessions. I hope the locals support this initiative. Although I stayed in one of the rooms that hadn't been upgraded, the price was great, and the room was clean. A chocolate surprise was in the fridge upon my arrival! I like the idea of cans/bottles of alcohol available to purchase at the reception. I booked based on a friend's recommendation, and I would also recommend this lovely place to stay!

Tropical Coast Motel is a lovely place to stay. The reception staff were very nice and friendly and the checkin and checkout was super fast and easy. The rooms are beautiful, super clean and modern and had lovely furniture. The kitchen area had everything you needed and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was very modern also and the shower was amazing. Across the road from the Motel is a really nice pub that has amazing food and great Pokies and nice cold beer. Tropic coast will be our go to place to stay next time we are passing thru Mackay. Thank you for your Service.
