It was not bad to stay in a youth hostel for the first time. There is a young lady at the front desk during the day who is very enthusiastic. But when I returned to the hostel at ten o'clock in the evening, there was no one at the front desk. I called the service call and was answered by a man. The man's service attitude was not very good, he was very impatient, and he had no sense of service. The four-person all-female room I chose was pretty good, but there was only one USB plug on the bedside, which was not very convenient for charging. But overall it's quite clean and the equipment is relatively new.

The rooms are absolutely fabulous. I had booked the basic room and it was huge. Really affordable as well for the location. Although, it is still around 20-25 min walk away from the main tourist attractions.

We stayed here for 1 night as visiting basel as we were told it's cheaper to stay in France but when you add up the cost of travel it doesn't add up. My advise stay in basel and get a basel card as if you stay in a basel city hotel you get a basel card which gives you free travel on trams and buses and discount to museums We paid 50 pounds to stay here 1 night on a Saturday night but had we payed 100 pounds to stay at hotel in basel we would of been around £20 quid better off as we used trams busses and visited museums. Hotel is literally 1 minutes walk from the border of France and Switzerland can't miss it. The hotel is very basic small double bed quite hard but fine and little kitchen in same room. Bathroom was ok but like the room needs updating. Shower was fine pressure ok and water was hot. Never ate at breakfast so couldn't comment. Pool at hotel but never used so again can't comment. Check in wasn't great as door to place is locked so had to ring intercom for ages to get in.. The receptionist in the morning was helpful and polite. We got a coffee and a pastry from coffee shop nearly opposite the hotel. We got a cab from hotel for 17 euro to three countries bridge which we crossed from France into Germany then across another bridge back into Switzerland.

Perfect stay for one night before departing from BSL airport. Had been on Viking River Cruise so left at 11am to tour the historic Basel, Switzerland. Arrived at hotel around 2:30pm. Had an excellent lunch at LaCave. All in french so they had to help us interpret. Had a huge room, coffee maker, TV, nice hot shower, books, robes & slippers available. Dinner at LaCave was excellent. Madelines at night time with tea in room all complimentary. Staff at desk very nice day, evening & night. Helped with shuttle to airport in very early monring. No breakfast at that hour. I would definitely stay again and recommend to all my traveling friends. Rate was good and included trip to airport.

I have stayed in many Ibis budget hotels and this was by far one of the best ones. The ladies at reception were extremely friendly and helpful and the gentleman who was in charge of breakfast provided first class service. All hotel staff spoke German, French and English and were very approachable. The room was nice and tidy. I was given a Basel card at the hotel, which allowed me to use public transport free of charge and provided access to various museums with half price entry. Although this hotel is a 15-minute walk from the train station Basel SBB, there are 2 trams that one can take from Basel SBB that lead to a tram stop, which is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. I had a great time here and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Basel. Thanks to the Ibis team for a great time there!

Located above Lörrachs with view to Switzerland, this family-run hotel has only 12 rooms, of which we had booked a studio with a bed sofa for three nights. Free parking directly in front of the house made the arrival and departure easy. The room was sufficiently large, individually cut, with balcony and modern furnished. There was a separate bedroom and a lot of stuff room. Unfortunately, the bathroom was only moderately clean, besides the hair left on the ground, the renter disturbed mostly the fungus in the shower fuels. A conception also the sleeping sofa that missed any comfort. The room was also left with the firefighter. The breakfast buffet was not in line with the ads on the hotel website, the selection was rather not rich, the promised salmon was completely missing. Two of three days were offered breakfast eggs of different preparations, one day only cooked eggs. When the buffet was higher, it was only slowly filled. All seems rather unpleasant, very much plastic waste by portion packaging, which goes elsewhere much more sustainable. Service at entry and exit free, in the restaurant though friendly, but not particularly attentionful. A good hotel, with “small mackerel” being fitted with little effort.

We booked a room on hotels.com. The room we were given had nothing to do with what we paid for, and we changed rooms after given a dirty room with no designer lamps, and bed side lamps were missing. It looked like they were doing work in the room and last minute decided to move out because there was a booking. Terrible pillows, horrible blankets, not what normal respectable hotels would use, especially when you are promoting yourself as such. The management has deliberately put wrong pictures on the internet, because they only show pictures of one building, which is less horrible. The one we stayed in is only partially shown, but in actual fact looks like it is about to be demolished. Inside there was work going on, walls were dirty and virtually no decoration on them. Ceiling lights did not wok, fridge neither. We tried to have a coffee in the entrance of the building but a worker told us it was not working...went to mention it and got attitude back from a stressed out concierge, who had no empathy for people who are on holiday, having a bad time in her mismanaged hotel! We just asked for refund and left. Life is too short for bad attitude in hotels that lie to clients about what they offer. Disgraceful.

For professional reasons, I searched for a accommodation near Lörrach. We were very warmly welcomed at our arrival! Food inconsistencies were very much taken into account both at breakfast and dinner! Thank you for the highlighted service. The renovated rooms are very modern in the Nordic style, the bed was also very comfortable. We felt by the family atmosphere not only as guests but as home.

Everything else was full so I chose this one.
The hotel is quite new.
There was no problem with the service either.
The hotel was quite full.
A small problem is that the hotel is in Germany.
Taking a taxi can only be done in the most primitive way:
Ask the front desk to call or hail a car on the road.
And you can only pay cash when renting a car.
A little inconvenient.
The tram station is only a 3-minute walk away.

AAlberThis is a nice little Hotel with a number of studios/appartments that are perfect for families with children. The service is great and friendly (typical for the South Baden folks) and we enjoyed our stay.
The only downside is the ”tactical” location of the premise in an industry area, but strategically the location is perfect to take visits to Basel or into the Elsass or Markgraefler Land.
It is an advantage to have a car, but even without car it is ok, since the tram to Riehen and Basel has a stop about 10-15 Min. walk from the Hotel.
We will definitely stay there again.

When i entered the room... abt 300 Euro a night! To say its old to say nothing - like in the old good USSR times in Moscow, Sankt Petersburg, DDR side of Berlin! 40 years ago, what a nostalgic feeling, smell of old carpet, never cleaned AC. Had to open window to get fresh air insine. Paint art on the wall by Natalie Goller - Innenraum Rußland. Was für ein Zufall! For 300 Euro a night! First evening at the Restaurant i choose Wiener Schnitzel with salad and French fries 🍟. My first Wiener Schnitzel ever and never ever if this piece of smashed to 3 mm dry pork was the real Wiener Schnitzel then sorry... Only good thing was the salad. At the hotel restaurant For 300 Euro a night! Breakfast was outstanding, nothing special at the hotel restaurant For 300 Euro a night! Asked in the morning if they do laundry the answer was - no, but whae i asked again at the desk in an hotel for 300 Euro a night the lady called someone and repeated what he heard on the other side of the line - laundry is the responsibility of the guests. Means do your self At the hotel For 300 Euro a night! Finally me and the lady on the desk figured out that the hotel does outsource the laundry to a third party company. Duration - few days, At the hotel For 300 Euro a night! Complimentary water only upon arrival, At the hotel For 300 Euro a night! Kettle, tea in room? Deam on! At the hotel For 300 Euro a night! What doesn't kills us makes us laughing 😆 At the hotel For 300 Euro a night!

GGuest UserThe room is small, the suitcase is a bit difficult to open, there is no kettle in the room, you need to go to the front desk to borrow it. It belongs to the domestic seven-day standard. The prices in Munich, Basel, and Berlin on my itinerary are about the same and the lowest grade. The dark carpet used in the room feels dirty. The service is not bad, and the sanitation is not bad. It is two stops away from Vitra where I need to go by tram No. 8
