Motel 6 Weed, CA - Mount Shasta

F$&king Scam Artists. I called asked if they have rooms went over and rented. Got room and turned on Air conditioning call about 30 minutes later and oh yeah it's out for the entire property both buildings. Didn't you see the sign on the office door saying AC out? Are you F$&king KIDDING ME? Why didn't the stupid night clerk mention it verbally instead of offering a lame I'm sorry after the fact? Pathetic!

We have a cat so Motel 6 is pretty much our only choice of motels. Realize this is motel 6, not best Western. But this motel hits a new low on cleanliness. Minimalist furnishings and amenities expected. The floor is a vinyl plank and was so dirty you could feel on your feet. A wipe ANYWHERE on floor with a wet cloth produces dark dirt stains! Hadn't been mopped in ages. Manager says mopped daily, maybe so with dirty water. Our cat hid under bed so we lifted to retrieve. Years of lint, hair and filth greeted us. Minimal cleaning done at best, sanitation is unknown to this hotel. All this could be accomplished in 10 minutes of effort. Its obvious they don't care. Ice machine broken, ONE carafe of coffee offered. Out in minutes. NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT THEIR PRICE! Choose another motel and stay healthy. This place is a deliberate disgrace. Third world accommodation. My respectfull criticism was unwelcome and unheeded. Cleanliness should be paramount in purpose.

The room I was in was not the room that I reserved. I ended up getting a different room, but unfortunately the air conditioner did not work. I was also surprised that the room didn’t have a refrigerator or a microwave in it. I will not ever got to motel 6 again. I suggest that you find a different motel 6

My husband says this is the second worst motel he’s ever stayed in. I don’t even want to think about the worst. Should have left when desk clerk couldn’t fulfill the room request (first floor) when he was the person who promised it. And he didn’t even care. Needs a lot of maintenance and help and cleaning and staff training….

This place was very dirty and disgusting. Smelled really bad. We were driving from Canada to Anaheim and the drive was awful so we decided to stop for the night in ****. This was the first hotel we came to and we all regretted this decision!! Would not recommend this place to anyone. I could feel the bed springs dig into my back.

Disgusting. Dirty. Do NOT stay at this property. Rooms were filthy. Grounds were filthy. We felt unsafe. If it hadn’t been so late, we would’ve absolutely gone somewhere else, but my 83-year-old mother was exhausted and local rooms were unavailable due to the McKinley Fire. We would’ve had to drive another 55 miles to Redding. Granted, it’s a Motel 6, but there still should be some basic standards of cleanliness. We were gone less than seven hours after arriving. No showers and exhausted. Ugh.

While I understand the whole "get what you pay for" mentality .. this place falls well below that category. It is not worth $100 a night. We booked a room on the spot during our travel today. Didn't look at reviews prior, just hoped for the best as we were exhausted. Tried 3 rooms and left. First reeked of fresh ********* before I even set foot into it. The clerk was kind enough to let me check out the room next to it. It also reeked of **** and after 2 steps in I got a whiff of unwashed body parts. The clerk was again kind enough to let me see another room. While the third room smelled much better (like urinal cakes) it was dirty. Like so dirty.. fresh stains on the wood floor and pet hair. As if a pack of huskies got down on some meatball subs and rolled around on the floor. I could tell an attempt had been made to clean (beds made and toilet paper folded into a luxurious fan) it was still down right nasty. With a quick hunch to look at the floor beneath the bed I saw that it had a layer of hair and grime. Filth, you could call it. The clerk was very understanding when I apologized for coming off as a snob. She apologized and when I told her it's not her fault she said the cleaning people will be talked to. When I asked about management she said they were "in between". Upon looking at reviews it looks like someone was told the same thing 10 months ago about being in between managers and many, many people have had the same experience. Motel 6 has responded to a lot of reviews with apologies but it's clear that they aren't making an attempt to make it better. Please just save your time and money as well as your health - and go somewhere else!

It's a place for a quick sleep. Service at the front desk at night was a lady and she was nice. Went to the room on the bottom floor and it was suppose to be nonsmoking but it seem like a homeless person slept in there. Smell really bad. Can't really do anything but exchanged rooms but this was the closest to the parking lot so didn't want to change to upstairs or somewhere else. The A/C wasn't doing anything but blow out warm air. It was just a fan that's all. They were missing a couple of face towels. There was no shampoo or conditioner bottles. You pay extra for a microwave and a fridge. Is it worth it? I'm not even sure? If you are in a budget, I think this place you wouldn't mind it but spend a little bit extra going somewhere else.
