1. I had about 4 interactions with the front office staff and they were generally not polite, welcoming or approachable. They do not acknowledge you when you wait for assistance when they are not attending to another client. Ashley in particular was extremely rude and dismissive with me when I complained about my room smelling of damp and the carpet literally was damp too. She actually scolded me and said that I was only repeating myself over and over again (perhaps it was because I was not being heard). When the manager (I assume she was the manager, she did not introduce herself or say what position she held in the hotel) came out to resolve the issue she attempted to be more polite than Ashley was but still would not acknowledge my frustration, her tone was patronizing, she did not want me to talk about Ashleys rude behavior towards me, she just wanted me to shut up and be grateful I would be moved to another room. 2. Another thing was coming to check in after a long flight with a toddler that had had an accident on the way and being told there was no water . We could not freshen up. Restaurant was closed so we had to venture out to look for food while still disheveled and sticky from the trip. 3. Bathtub had a permanent brown ring on it and was completely worn out. The forcet kept falling off into the bath water. It was not pleasant having to bath my toddler in a dirty looking tub. The extractor fans in the bathroom are inoperable!!!! 4. There were so many long hairs stuck all over the bathroom walls, floors, sink, closet floors as well as the towels and washclothes. I literally had to wipe the whole bathroom down with a soapy wet washcloth to get the hairs off . Absolutely gross! The best part of our stay was how comfortable the bed was! It felt like I was sleeping on a cloud . And breakfast was just as delightful! The staff at breakfast are so warm and welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate my rambunctious toddler. Gwen in particular was amazing!!!! Friendly but professional and extremely proactive. Also the housekeeping staff are super polite and helpful. Perhaps they could train your front office staff in the art of true hospitality.
