Super stay! What a nice owner. Very nice atmosphere. Really recommended. Good food so that makes it even easier. Beach is adjacent. We'll be back. That's for sure :)

Thought where the property was located was beautiful but lodging was way over priced. Given the bait and switch of room, very spotty Internet at best… however staff was as helpful as they can be.

Antonio, the hotel manager, is the image of this charming hotel! Beautiful authentic decoration, adorable staff, clean Very well located, in front of the beach. Fresh food, exceptional fish! I highly recommend this exceptional place….

The hotel is pleasant but it could do with modernizing the rooms and several points need improvement: the staff is very nice but none of them speak English except the owner, and there is currently no organization for surfing.

We've read a lot of reviews, and we don't agree with the negative ones. Considering the situation on Sumba, this is a good and very hospitable accommodation, where the passionate manager helps young people to make a decent living in tourism. Negative comments such as "no WIFI", "outdated" or "food not good" are spoiled behavior of individuals who call themselves travelers who do not look beyond their own luxurious lives and do not delve into the local population and circumstances. We were there during the elections and the owner had decided to close the hotel for safety reasons, but our reservation had been standing for a long time and they just kept the door open for us alone; We were the only guests, but they took good care of us. At least this is sustainable for the local residents. It is not four stars by Western standards, but certainly for Sumba! Peter and Ilona

Hotel was empty, it was a hot mess, there was unfinished structures thru out the property, 75% of the menu was not available, was hard to order food, each time we ordered something, waiter would come back to let us know they don’t have it. Only the manager spoke English fluently, the rest of the staff spoke very little English to none, though they were very nice. No wifi in the rooms or phone service, so you end up spending a lot of time in the reception area. More importantly, we were not allowed to go in the ocean, I’ve never heard of this before, apparently they have a religious ceremony on oct 26th and the local customs don’t allow that portion of the beach to be used, bizarre, why would they not specify on the website and offer discounts? Basically you end up in a messy hotel, on front of a beautiful beach you cannot swim in and almost no food to order. Also, they would sat us at the table not in front of each other but next to each other as if people shouldn’t face each other when they eat, they need some training on dining etiquette, also, for some reason they had jars with sugar on each table and were full of ants, no idea how the hotel stays in business

Beautifull beach, friendly staff. Good rooms with aircon in a relaxing garden. It is in a quiet area close to the village. They can arrange motorbike for rent. We had very relaxing stay in a realy good hotel. Be prepared also to do just nothing but swim and........
