The accommodation was surprisingly good for the price and location. The receptionist was very accommodating and waited for me until I arrived before she called it a day. I liked the common bathroom outside the main house as it was really warm and spacious.

Stayed here for the night as it was one of the cheapest option. Private twin room with shared toilet. The kitchen is also well equipped. For the area I was staying in, total of 2 toilets with shower facilities.

Right next to the river, great for walks, what more can you ask for, Everything a solo traveler needs is there. About 15mins walk to town centre. Friendly host Alice and dog Dash.

I stayed here for one night while sightseeing in Wanganui. The facilities were very clean and I was able to use the kitchen and bathroom comfortably. The room was warm and comfortable. The location was great, right on the Wanganui River.

This was very reasonably priced at 85 for me and my daughter for 1 night. It was a cute clean small room with 2 single beds and a mirror. The shared bathroom was clean and approx 2metres away from our room and the shared kitchen & lounge within 5-6 metres away. My daughter is in a wheel chair and although its not an accessible place i was able to wheel her up the step to our room and bathroom easily. There was a beautiful walkway over a bridge with a skate park, wonderful childrens park and beautiful views one minute away walking. The room got slightly cold but there was extra blankets the beds were comfortable. Staff friendly and not annoying

this place was really nice had a decent bathroom area, the kitchen felt a little bit dirty but not bad at all. the outside area was lovely. staff were kind and inviting. the beds were comfy and there wasnt much outside noise.

I always enjoy my stays at the Braemar House . Its also a historical building with a fascination history . Its in beautiful condition and an excellent presentation of the old charm of New Zealand not found in modern architecture . Cozy area for group meetings in the patio area and ample size kitchen for gatherings to prepare food . Love it .
