Location was great. Room was very comfortable and warm. The lounge area with wood fire was a great place to relax with a glass of wine or two! Parking was on-site and easy. Allan and staff were very inviting and friendly. Will definitely stay there again.

When I see the word lodge, I think of luxury, warm fires and beautiful furnishings. This for once is exactly what we got. Such an awesome house and rooms, we were happy to just chill at the homestead. Watching the stars while sitting in a hot tub was perfect. Everything spotless and every need accommodated. Highly recommend

Everything about this stay was exceptional! Tania was a lovely host, the room was spacious & those shower heads! Close walk to the Wanaka Tree & the grounds are well maintained. Will definitely come back here when we return back to the beautiful Wanaka

Want to say a huge thank you to Allan for the most incredible stay. Firstly, the accommodation is to die for. So homely, welcoming and the hot tub under the stars is phenomenal! The lounge area with a huge log fire was perfect for the sub zero evenings- topped off by a visit from beautiful Bonnie! Secondly, his knowledge of the area is second to none! He's got all the food, and more importantly wine, recommendations alongside all the best walking and hiking routes! Even going as far as providing a lift to the walk start and bikes for an afternoon lake cycle! Could not recommend this homestead more, it absolutely made our trip and we will definitely be returning (with friends!). P.S. thank you for defrosting our car this morning Allan! Incredible place, beautiful, well maintained homestay and in a very convenient location. Very quiet, rooms very cozy and a walk away from the picturesque lake and the lonely tree. The park behind it os incredible, full of huge mature and amazing trees. Definitely a place I will come back and bring my family. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about Wanaka and it’s places of interest.

From the start of communication with Allan, to leaving, we were treated 5 star treatment. The place was very relaxing and the spa was just perfect. The rooms very comfortable. I highly recommend your next stay in Wanaka here. It is has great walks right out the back door. See you next time.
