The staff are very friendly. The environment is excellent. Facilities are OK like the jumping pillow. Cleaning in the surrounding environment is great. However, the maintenance and the cleanliness of the room were poor (i.e. long hairs can be found around the table and the bed, I wonder if they changed the bedsheet or cleaned the table with the same cloth).

Quite an old caravan park, we stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin, quite old, but very clean, with all amenities required for a comfortable stay. As it was cold, additional blankets were provided, but were not required. Parking was good, with space right outside our cabin. Bed was very comfortable. Plates, cutlery etc were all provided.

I was really disappointed to see the price of a bag of ice increase from $5 to $8. It feels excessive, especially when I visited Walpole and purchased the exact same size bag for only $4. This kind of markup is hard to justify and leaves a bad impression. Additionally, I noticed that the facilities could be improved by providing some basic essentials like sugar, salt, and pepper. These are simple items that can make a big difference in enhancing the overall experience for guests. Having these on hand would add a thoughtful touch to the amenities provided. While the location has its positives, these small details can significantly impact the overall value and guest satisfaction. I hope these points can be taken into consideration for improvement in the future. The view was absolutely sensational and one of the highlights of our stay. The room was clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated. However, a few additional toiletries would have been a nice touch to enhance convenience for guests. It would also be great if there were facilities available for washing boats, even something as simple as a station to flush out motors. This would be a fantastic addition for guests who bring their boats along. Overall, while the experience was positive, these small improvements could make it even better.

Dated and dirty cabin in desperate need of refurbishment. The owner is cashing in on this place. I wouldn’t leave such a negative review if it was cheaper. It’s overpriced - it should be cheaper or it needs refurbishing. Furniture and mattresses were really old. Kitchen units were all chipped and tap fixing was hanging off - see pictures. Black dirt along window frames - see pictures. Shower curtain too short so bathroom floor got soaking wet when we had showers. The wooden frame of the sofa was sticking out in between the cushions and could hurt someone. The cabins are joined up and locked doors separate them. No soundproofing between cabins so we could hear neighbours. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Rest Point Caravan is located on the banks of the Walpole inlet which makes for a very nice view from your window. Very popular if you own a boat. I did see a lot of guys trying their luck fishing while I was here. I like the fact that there are kangaroos that come in to feed on the lush grass in the morning and evening. A lot of native birds around as well. A very relaxing place to stay.

Excellent accommodation. Facilities were outstanding allowing us to be completely self sufficient throughout our stay. Beautiful area with numerous wild life in the vicinity. Would highly recommend this beautiful piece of South West WA to any wandering traveler.

Very overpriced for a dirty old tired cabin in desperate need of refurbishment. It seems like the owner is cashing in on it. The whole of the cabin needed a deep clean, it felt grubby. We stayed in cabin number 5 which has 4 bedrooms. We were expecting a basic cabin when we booked, but the cabin was in serious need of a refurbishment as nearly everything was damaged/worn/chipped - see photos. The kitchen tap dripped constantly and the tap fixing was broken. The shower curtain was too short so the bathroom floor got soaking wet. There was black dirt all along the window ledges and cobwebs in the corners of the windows - see photos. The cabins are interlinked via locked doors and the walls are so thin that we could hear everything our neighbours were saying and doing. It was noisy. There was a very bright security light above the bedroom window so the bedroom wasn’t dark enough. There was a wooden frame sticking out of the (very old tired) sofa that could hurt someone too. Not worth the money that the owner charges and wouldn’t go back unless the cabins get refurbished and cleaned properly. The bbq hadn’t been cleaned by the person who had previously used it so we were disappointed about that too.

The camp is in need of a complete facelift. Toilets are inadequate and dated. The electrical supply was haphazard at best when we stayed. It looks like a bomb has gone off at the entrance. Having stayed here 7 tears ago when last in WA from the UK Rest Point was a highlight, from this trip it has been the opposite.

Nice area of the park we stayed in, some other areas were very crowded, specially the caravan section. They are expanding by the looks of it so might get better Cabin was huge, good facilities but a stove instead of electric pan would have been nice
