Absolutely horrible - probably comparable to the worst truck stop you can imagine. Terrible service, staff were lethargic and unhelpful. Guests were loud, coming and going all night - locking and unlocking doors, smoking in their rooms - which filters into your room. My shower was mouldy and there was no water at all in the morning to even take shower. As a woman travelling for business, I did not feel safe staying there.

It's 2am as I write this! Who are these people that stay over at Rita's? Since I arrived at 8pm, all I have heard from my room is drunken noise - sadly, not just from my neighbours, but from all around the property. Now I understand why this establishment was the only one with a room available in town. I know there are staff on site, why do they not intervene? What a horrible decline for a former Vryheid favourite. At this rate I may as well have parked outside Vryheid police station and spent the night awake in my car, for free! Rita's - to your list of rules and regulations pasted in your rooms, please add one on 'noise', its more relevant than sleeping between the sheets.
