Elva Hotel

We loved our time at the Elva. The room and bed were so lovely and cozy and the team went out of their way to make us feel very taken care of..thank you to Janet and Lucas for acting as generous hosts during our stay. The wood sauna was a highlight and the 3 course dinner was just delicious.

An unusual modern eco hotel in a fabulous position on the lake side. Very friendly staff. Rooms were quite small with the beds set into an alcove with a huge window overlooking the water. It was a pity the room wasn't just a bit longer as the bed was only accessible on one side with no bedside tables. View was great though and dinner was good - three courses - you can choose from a meat, fish or vegetarian menu. Would have been good to have a choice of fish and meat rather than all one or another. Also we had to pay for dinner in advance which was a bit strange. There was no wine list so we had limited choice and no idea of cost. Breakfast was quite good - cold meats, fish, cheese and eggs cooked to order.

Fantastic location and view, really nice and helpful staff and great food in the restaurant! The rooms are beautiful and quiet. They all have a fantastic view over the river and lake right next to the hotel. We had a really good 7 course dinner in the restaurant. Highly recommended the place! Next time we will go rafting as well!

Beautiful and peaceful hotel near Voss. We were made to feel extremely welcome, especially our 3 year old, which was very touching. The spa and sauna were a real delight. Thank you to Janet and Vlad for a lovely stay. Hope to see you again some time!

Lovely place. Slept like a baby. Then got up and went for a walk along the river before having a coffee while enjoying the view from the room. Here you can hide away and take in the Western Norwegian scenery. This place also takes the environment seriously

We tried the 3 Course menu in the main Elva restaurant and it’s pretty amazing. Good wine and interesting food presentation. The restaurant looks out over a lovely lake with floor to ceiling windows and simplistic. Before the main event we had a nice drink at the Elvatun ‘cafe’, which is the cozy bar right next door 😻

Hotel with an exciting architecture and close to nature. The room had a fantastic view. Food and service was excellent. If you are on a business trip or a family trip, this is a perfect choice. Vass Active is close to the hotell. They offer rafting, riverboarding and canyoing.

Breathtaking architect designed boutique hotel in Voss close to Gudvangen, Myrdal and Flam. I choose this hotel because I really wanted to stay at the Hotel Juvet but they are booked out a year! This hotel has a similar design aesthetic but is much easier to get to- just an hour from Bergen by train. We used it as our jumping off point to the fjords.
