The hotel is situated in a quiet road in the lovely district of Kifissia. For those visiting Sthens, Kifissia is a great area to stay in albeit out of the centre which for us is perfect. The staff are super helpful and friendly, nothing appears to be too much trouble. We had a small issue with the bathroom in our first room which neccistated a room change and that was to an upgraded suite, wonderful! Breakfast is more than adequate. If we visit Athens again it will be to The Y Hotel for sure.

Stayed here for 4 nights. I can’t fault the hotel. Firstly this is the first hotel I have ever stayed in that had great lightening and lots of lighting options in the room. Room service, all meals were delicious. Would highly recommend the chicken with burnt lemon sauce. Gym, well stocked and good range of machines and weights. Fabulous pool area, although I did not get chance to use it. But appreciated my view from room balcony. Would definitely recommend this hotel and I would not hesitate to stay here again,

Hotel is nice but the location not so good. In regards to location: easy access to main road and train station BUT neighborhood not good. Homelessness and drug users visible and crowd the street on your way to the side streets to the hotel entrance. Didn’t feel secure once I walked out of the hotel. The hotel itself was nice, clean and the front desk staff friendly. Breakfast was good.

I’m sad to read that there was this problem even ages ago, and till last week nothing has changed… I didn’t check tripadvisor before to book I’m only opening this to let the others know this problem but I’m seeing it’s an old and unsolved problem. After the orribile first night told to the reception what happened, oh ok I’ll send the housekeeper to sanificate the room, when we returned back in the evening I think nobody has never entered into that room coz the sheet were still dirty of blood. Second night again, this time they changed us the room, same problem meanwhile I was getting worst and worst and fortunately they chased just me (we were with 2 kids 2 and an half, and 8 months baby). Once again I went down to the reception and we got another room, but nothing changed. The only thing they have to do is junk everything in the bin start to sanificate and deep clean from the rooftop to the basement, then paint the wall and new everything. (We were 4 but in the first two rooms we got 3 single beds, in the last one just a doble bed)

Stayed in a 6 bed hostel room. Bunk was comfortable. Nice large lock boxes. Good lighting and electric outlets with each bunk. Good curtains for privacy and lighting. Staff was really helpful and welcoming. Nice cafe on street level. Bathrooms were clean and kitchen on 1st floor was nice and coffee and tea were available. Great location in a Athens. Right where you want to be for quick access to attractions, transportation, restaurants and nightlife. Yes staying in a shared room can get noisy when people come in after a night out, but that’s hostel life. In any case bed was comfortable and I slept well. Would stay there again.

Though most of this establishment are private rooms, I stayed in the 8-person dorm, so that is what I am reviewing. While this hostel was very clean and well serviced, it isn’t as good as some other hostels I’ve stayed in recently. The beds were not the most comfortable, though I did sleep alright on them. The beds are completely in the open, so there is absolutely no privacy at all. Also, there are limited electrical outlets, so, depending on how busy it is, you might be fighting for plug space (fortunately the dorm was less than half occupied during my visit, so it wasn’t much of a problem). The dorm does have one, ensuite bathroom, which I imagine results in queues during the busy season, however it is very clean. Lockers are available outside the dorm room for your bags/valuables. The dorm is located on the second floor, over streets which are quite busy late at night, so you will hear the din from the crowd below (light sleepers beware!). Two of the best aspects of this hostel as it’s location and rooftop terrace. Five minutes walk from Monastiraki Square, everything you want to see in central Athens is a stones throw away. The rooftop terrace is absolutely wonderful, with magnificent views of the Acropolis and the old city. A great place to enjoy a few beers in the evening (and a killer sunset), a coffee in the morning (with a terrific sunrise), or just catching some rays in the afternoon. See photos. For the location and terrace alive, I’d stay here again…but would probably opt for a private room.

Closer to the Acropolis, it is convenient to eat, drink, drink and go shopping. But the airport bus took to the Constitution Square and dragged the luggage or got a subway stop. The room is acceptable, classical style, and the bathroom is slightly smaller. On the street, the night is noisy and not too soundproof. The front desk service was good and the breakfast was quite rich.

I liked the location because it was quiet and not a noisy tourist area. I was able to visit major tourist attractions on foot. Even the subway station was close. There were delicious brunch restaurants, a coin laundromat, and a supermarket nearby, so it was convenient to use. This is a place I would like to recommend. I could always drink delicious coffee.

It looked good on screen and it looked just as good in real life. Friendly and helpful staff to not only get you checked in and into your apartment with ease but to give you some insights to the local area and all that has to offer. We booked the Superior Suite so was a cute mezzanine layout. Proper coffee machine, kettle, hob, fridge and oven; even a fruit bowl packed with juciy oranges ready to be squeezed (there is an electric juicer too). Special call out to Panos who was super helpful throughout our stay. It's very close to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, which combines a great viewing point for sunsets, the modern architecture of the Opera House as well as park land, sports facilities (running track, outdoor gym, swimming pools etc) and a great restaurant (Jardin All Day Stories)

GGuest UserVery satisfied, clean and cheap, away from the tourist area, but it is very convenient to take the subway directly. It is a place where locals live and experience the life of locals. Downstairs is a small commercial street, restaurant bakery coffee supermarket electronic products, etc., life is very convenient. For leisure travel, go out and cross the road without turning, walk to Line 3, it is very fresh, so it is very comfortable to walk without feeling tired. Because I ran smoothly, I lived for another day.
GGuest UserVery good value, there is a small yard, the overall space of the suite is large, the layout is warm, the kitchen supplies are all available, and the bathroom is very new. One living room, two bedrooms. The child likes the board games prepared by the owner very much.
GGuest UserThis hotel is brand new and is currently under building renovation as I understood + they are building new pool and restaurant with bar. This makes a lot of noise and this is the only negative thing I can say. Because: The rooms are really new, fresh and beautiful.I had a room with small balcony.Extremely comfy bed, beautiful bathroom.Nespresso with complimentary coffee, full mini bar. The staff was very helpfull and extremely nice, they will manage everything you need. Breakfast are small but it is enough,be sure to try their home made cheese pie and pepper pie.Perfect! The area is also very nice,it is next to park and great restaurants and shopping area. I will be definitely back when the renovation will be done.It is really very nice boutique hotel with high quality.
GGuest UserJust finished our trip in Greece. We stayed in Kifissia, in this beautiful and lovely hotel. Everyone was always kind and helpful from the start to the finish. Both my husband and my kids loved it. Reception was always smiling and answering our questions without a doubt.Panagiotis and Marita, lovely people. Restaurant was magnificent and the food/drinks were lovely. We spend most of our time with Giannis and Konstantina on the afternoon . Both of them were always very kind and quick to our needs and orders, even though their plate was always full with people. They give the restaurant what it needs. We also spent a little time with another waiter, I believe his name was Stavros or something similar. He was the opposite of what the previous waiters were and that kind of ruined our experience in the restaurant. He was also rude sometimes both to us and his fellow coworkers. The housekeeping ladies were full of love and kindness and our rooms were always clean. Overall 4.9/5 experience. We will sure return again.
GGuest UserWe recently spent 3 nights at the Athens Life hotel. It is about a 30 min drive from central Athens and there are plenty of parking spaces right outside the hotel. We were given a warm welcome at Reception and our bags were taken to our room. The welcome note and marzipan were a lovely touch. Our room on the 3rd floor was large, clean and very well equipped. We found the low bed and surrounding ledge quite difficult to get in and out of, so do be mindful of this if you have a bad back etc. Some of the furniture/decor is a little tired, but it didn’t take anything away from our stay, especially given the reasonable price of the room. The air conditioning and WiFi were excellent. Our favourite part of the room was the balcony with stunning views over the mountains. We could have sat on it all day! We had a meal and cocktail in the restaurant, plus room service a couple of times and the food and service was fantastic. The hotel is incredibly peaceful and serene and definitely the place if you want to unwind. We barely saw any other guests our entire stay! A very enjoyable stay!
GGuest UserThis hotel is in the Kifissia area of northern Athens, surrounded by the rich area of Athens, the living facilities are more convenient, the supermarket is downstairs, and the hotel is 50 meters around, but the taste is average for the Chinese. Hotel facilities are the domestic express hotel grade. If the budget is limited and the luxury is not pursued, this hotel is still good, and the basic supplies are available. Foreign hotels do not have toothpaste and toothbrushes, and prepare them when you come. The hotel staff is not bad, can't say enthusiasm, but you open your mouth, still willing to help you, English communication is no problem. Don't come here if you don't have money, it's a bit far from the airport.
GGuest UserThe Kefalari is located in a very nice neighborhood with cute shops and nice restaurants. They offered us a breakfast box due to no restaurants serving breakfast in the neighborhood. We had to leave at 2:30 am for a flight, so missed out on that but they had Nespresso pods available as well as water. The rooms are beautiful and have great amenities but the carpet needs replacing. I believe they are in the midst of renovations. There is a small elevator and also cookies, coffee and bottled water in the lobby.
GGuest UserI wish I’d read the review below mine before booking. Believe it. I had to give 1 star, as you have to give at least 1 in order to leave a review. I reiterate all of it: Rock hard old mattresses with coils sticking out. Rude or non existent service especially at breakfast. I’d add, my room overlooked a bar/restaurant. Kept up until midnight with the music and noise last night - which was a Monday. The food is bland. Pizza for breakfast? I asked for a coffee in the morning as the serve yourself filter had ran out. He came over, shook it and tipped it to give me the dregs. All of that done like I was an inconvenience. It’s not a 5 star. I’d give it a 2. Please don’t book this hotel.
GGuest UserGreat location next to lovely park with good restaurants and cocktail bars . free and easy parking. We had a basement suite which was spacious and clean. Staff were polite . We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice and breakfast was varied. Overall very good value and perfect for a night or two
Ppetros09I am a former Vice Consul who is currently heavily disabled and I live in Tolo-Argolida with my partner who needed urgent medical attention at the KAT Hospital in Kifissia. Not knowing the hotels in Kifissia, I happened to call the Pines. It was confirmed to me that it had easy access to the said hospital, so believing the member of staff I went ahead and booked the hotel. At no point during our conversation was I told that this is a couples hotel as I would never have accepted to book. We got there at 01.35 tired and nervous about our hospital visit, but we went off immediately to get some lunch On our return to the hotel at 15.10 we had decided to take a short rest so I asked the reception staff to wake us up with coffee at 15.45 so that we don't miss our very important hospital appointment. Thankfully, though I hadn't fallen asleep as I was very disturbed after turning on the TV in order to relax our minds by watching the daily news but instead finding two hard core porn channels back to back... at this point I switched off the TV and awaited for the coffee. When at 15.50 it still hadn't arrived, I called reception to ask what had happened, only to be told that he would send some coffee up to us immediately. After 15 minutes though and as we had to urgently leave in order not to miss our appointment at the Hospital, the bar staff knocked the door carrying two cups of coffee. However, as we were already running late we did not have any time to waste so, after I told the bar staff that he was too late, we rushed off to the hospital. What shocked me most of all is that the reception staff called to complain. I can't believe the audacity of it. Instead of apologising he appeared angry! Can you believe it? An 180 kilometres journey for a hospital appointment that we nearly missed simply because of their inefficiency!!! At this point I need to stress to other prospective customers that the Pines Hotel, in my view is 100% a ”couples” hotel! I find it very unfair that they do not warn customers before their arrival!!!
