Dolphin Run

This is for unit 905. Before problems arose, the owner was very responsive. But once I notified him of the black mold covering the AC units, he told me he would speak with VRBO to send a full refund, then never responded to anything else. That would have been fine had he actually contacted VRBO. But when I called them, they had never heard anything from him. I wish Vrbo would allow me to attach photos on their site because the black mold that was covering the AC units was inexcusable. I don’t know how the people didn’t see it that stayed here before us… maybe people don’t actually care about cleanliness or their health the way that we do. But this couldn’t be overlooked by us. We spent the first night there only because we couldn’t turn around and drive the four hours home with our one year-old in the middle of the night and we had nowhere else to stay. We all woke up with sinus problems. This doesn’t even include the ants and flying insects that we had to kill, the unknown crust on top of the dressers, the visible funk around the closet door handles, the thick layer of dust sitting on the shelf next to the wash cloths and towels that I would be drying my face with after the shower, or the thick dust that was on the headboard next to our faces. This place hasn’t been cleaned in MONTHS. Once the owner stopped responding to my emails, I contacted VRBO and sent them photos. They have stated they are issuing the refund and supposedly the owner will face consequences like having the listing suspended, but just in case it remains up, BOOK ELSEWHERE! Update: Vrbo has stated that all of the above is considered “minor” to their team and that this owner’s listing will not be removed from Vrbo. Furthermore, they have stated that the owner has changed their minds about my refund after they saw my review and they will no longer be sending my money back to me. Since Vrbo will not allow me to attach pictures, I decided to post this review elsewhere in hopes that other visitors will see this and try to stay clear of this filth trap. Please don’t put yourself in my shoes by booking this place. A month later and I am still fighting for my money back, and I believe this will go to court before this guy admits he’s wrong.

The worst vacation ever. There was repairs being made to the balconies because the city deemed them unsafe. The condo association should have known this and had it done off season and not wait until they were forced to fix it. The noise was unbearable from the jackhammers. They started early in the morning. They should have gave us a courtesy call to let us know this was going on and give use the option to cancel without fees. We made our reservations months before and no one informed us.

Great Place to Vacation. This is my second year vacationing with my family here. Our unit was great, plus we loved the view. We've decided as a family to continue coming here. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Stayed in Unit 802 enjoyed the views, the broad walk and the place was beautiful. In door swimming poor and laundry facility on the same floor. Local restaurants in walking distance that were great didn't need the car at all.

The early part of 2023 we had planned a vacation together with 2 other family members for the week of 22/Jul/23 to 29/Jul/23 ,2 months before our arrival date we were notified that our trip had to be paid in Full by a curtain date, and our response was that our trip was paid for and that we had all of our documentation to show everything, and once we got an attorney involved, then everything was in good standing order. The next thing was since there would be 2 cars, we were told that one parking pass would be issued and that upon arrival we could possibly have a chance for another parking pass to be issued for the second car, which that Never happened. After we checked in on 22/Jul/23 and after one parking pass had already been issued, we were told that we could park out front, first come, first served, but of course we verified that twice just to make sure that everything would be ok with us parking in that area since we did not have a parking pass, and once again we were told that we could. The next morning when went out to the car to get our stuff for the beach and were told that our car had been towed and when we had confronted the young lady that told us that we could park out front that statement never happened. At one point in time, maintenance was notified due to an air conditioning unit and fan was not working, but nothing ever happened with that issue. The Condo that we stayed in, (1401) was very beautiful, but the people that run that place have a lot to be desired it was one lye after another. A couple days into our stay I had asked if there would be any chance of getting a parking pass and was told that all of those parking spaces were for the owners when needed, but we were informed by an owner that lives there that there are only 25 people that lives there all year round, with a lot of parking spots available. The Condo was very beautiful, but everything that we went through it was not worth the hassle. With one last issue, maintenance was notified about an Air conditioning unit and Fan not working, but nothing ever happened with that to say the least. There is not much more to say when dealing with Very,Very Poor Management.

We were right on the beach! Our view from 1206 was amazing. We could see the boats from so far out and the dolphins that came up close to visit. We walked from the condo across the boardwalk to the beach everyday. But… the master bathroom had black mold in the shower, it hadn’t been cleaned. The air conditioner unit and the kitchen had ants. There were no extra trash bags, glad we brought our own! And it was an extra $100 a week for towels, kitchen and bath, lol Called the management twice about cleaning or getting us a cleaning product for the bath and the ants. They didn’t care at all. They sent no one up and told us to buy our own cleaning product, which we did, because the shower was disgusting.
