Hotels Near Trilho Interpretativo da Aldeia Nova in Vila Real De Santo Antonio

Have just returned home after a week at this hotel. I noticed it had mixed reviews. My personal opinion of this hotel is it was perfect for my needs. The hotel is very clean and spacious. My room and bathroom were spotless. Free air con, free safe. A very decent size fridge that kept contents very cool. Free wifi all over the hotel and no problems with it. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. As we’re the bar staff. A “hi” to Martin who was super sweet. A huge dining area that was very clean. Lots of choice for breakfast. Cereals, yogurts, fruit, breads, cakes, cheese, meats, preserves and honey etc. There was also cooked bacon, sausages, fried and scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms etc. Toaster at hand for toast. The bread rolls are baked fresh in the kitchen each morning and are delicious. My one and only negative is the choice of teabags. Needed three to produce one cup of weak tasteless tea. There’s a large sunbathing area with good quality sun loungers. The pool was stunning too. I would most definitely return to this lovely and well run hotel.

Hotel was very close to the beach with bars and shops within easy distance. A lovely decorated foyer area with good helpful staff. Room was adequate but not large. A small balcony overlooked the road and a side view to the beach. beds were good and the only down side was there were no hot drink making faciklities. It had 2 lifts, one of which was out of action for our stay, this wasnt really an isue as the hotel didnt seem that busy, nut could be a bigger problem when it was. Room was attended to and beds made every day. I thought the restaurant was lovely well set out and not to busy, although it was just out of season. The restaurant staff were probably the most attentive I have yet to see in a hotel. always smiling and removing used plates and utensils quickly. Breakfast was a good a great choice of prepared fresh and tinned fruits, a small choice of hot food, yogurts, pastries, cooked meats etc. Fruit juice, tea and coffee machines. Evening meal always had a soup, choice of fish and meat, along with selection of vegetables. a huge array of salad items and probably the best display of chilled deserts ive seen in most hotels. The only down side to the food was.. I never had any food that was actually hot, it all seemed just luke warm to me. The roof area was quiet and the pool not large, but adequate for a little dip. A bar was open on the roof if you required a drink. All in all, a great 5 days away at an unbeleivable price for what we got. SHould I return to Monte Gordo, I wouldnt hessitate to stay again.

Second time I’ve visited this hotel. It was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Location is excellent with the beach a 10 min walk and the square a 5 min walk. There is also a spar 2 minutes away and lots of restaurants near by. On both occasions my room was spotless and there was a safe, free of charge which i thought was really good. The pool area was small but there were ample beds available due to the time of year. Sometimes I even had it to myself. Also very clean. Breakfast was simple but nice. A variety of cereals, breads, cheeses, meats and fruit. Then a small selection of hot food. (Eggs, beans and sausages). It’s definitely my go to hotel when I’m in Monte Gordo.

Fantastic location, large pool, brilliant breakfast, staff fantastic, quiet hotel. Sea view superb. Friendly resort. Hotel was very clean with a large selection of indoor and outdoor seating areas. Lovely poolside outlet for drinks and food. The pool closed at 6 pm, I would have liked it to be 8 pm. Lots of sunbeams, parasols, people didn't reserve sunbeams. Rooms on the small side but had a free fridge which was almost silent, air conditioning was very effective.

Basic hotel, rooms nice and clean, bed made every day. Staff not particularly friendly, food basic and boring went out most days. Pretty central for what we wanted, it was a place to sleep. Beach only about 5/10 minute walk which is beautiful.

We are just nearing the end of our 10 day stay here, we have had a wonderful holiday, yes its 90% german citizens here and TUI should probably make that clearer when booking but part of me is glad they didnt as it may have made me book somewhere else, i have attended fitness classes in german but the staff made every effort to explain things to me in english and i enjoyed them just as much, my husband joined the tennis tournament and he had a great time, the german people he played with all spoke good english and they were laughing and joking together, my kids made some good friends too. The silent disco was wondeful having 3 channels on the headset, german, english and house music, it was so much fun. The bands and robins singers in the evening have been great. I havent struggled to get a table in the evening, in fact we have got the same table every night and our waiters have been wonderful. The food is world class and fresh. I was dubious about coming all inclusive as we normally go on villa holidays, but we have had the best time and wish we could stay longer. This is definately a 5 star resort, if you are booking just go with the flow their isnt really a language barrrier if you just put in the effort to speak to people. Hotel with excellent facilities. The perfect place to enjoy the good weather in the Algarve. Close to a fantastic beach. The package I chose was bed and breakfast. The only weak point was the quality of the products for breakfast. The juices are of very low quality, mini pastries almost non-existent and very bad waffles. The same is repeated at dinner. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and the buffet is very poor and without quality. I don't know if it's related to the all inclusive packages that most guests have, but I think it's a point to improve for customer satisfaction. We love it anyway, but without a doubt that if I return, I will eat outside the hotel.

Great hotel - very comfortable rooms, a large swimming pool area, and designed in a 1970s modernist style. There is a free shuttle service to Cabanas de Tavira, from where you can get a short ferry across to the island beach. There is also a well-signposted 3km running route across the Tavira salt flats starting just outside the hotel, with amazing views if you go early in the morning. We booked a family room, and the sofa bed was just about big enough for our two children (aged 13 and 10) but it would probably be two small for older teenagers. Breakfast was very good, and is served in the rooftop restaurant.

Most enjoyable all round stay. Arrival and check in was very easy. We found they had left plated food and water in our room (380) even though we arrived at 1 am. The room was very spacious with plenty of storage and hanging space also contained a kitchenette with sink (very useful) fridge, tea making facilities and utensils. Good bathroom with shower over bath.An adequate balcony with drying rail over looking the garden and pool area with distant view of the sea. We had emailed ahead and requested a quiet room on a high floor which is exactly what we had. We were all inclusive with TUI . All meals were buffet and we found plenty of choice, huge variety, and the food and drinks were very good. There were two areas for outside eating which we enjoyed. The staff worked very hard to keep the dining areas clean and tidy and cleared the tables quickly and efficiently. All areas, bars, pool, snack bar were kept very clean and no food at the pool was enforced which was good to see. There were plenty of sun beds and guests were encouraged not to leave them reserved for long unattended periods of time. There were plenty of peaceful and comfortable little areas tucked away for drinks from the bar or relaxing. The bars were well staffed and you had the option of paying extra for cocktails, brands etc. Most guests were Spanish, French and Portuguese families and the entertainment was mainly catered towards them. The hotel is in a lovely position just across the promenade from a lovely beach that stretches for approx 15 miles. The local buses stopped a ten minute walk away and were very cheap. Staff are extremely helpful and most speak excellent English. Nothing is too much trouble . So a very big thank you to all the staff and although we cannot remember all the names the ones we remember are, at the bar Millan and Manuela, at reception Laura &Alba, in the dining area Oscar Vaz, Sonia, Bouch, and the very cheerful omelette Chef Monika. There was a safe in the room which you payed a deposit for which was returned , also pool towels were available and could be exchanged every three days again with a returnable deposit . We really enjoyed this holiday and intend to visit again in the near future.
