Lots to love about the Hotel Khamvongsa: a small, stylish, boutique hotel in the river quarter of Vientiane. My third stay and with each visit I was more and more impressed with the quality of the hotel, the care and attention of the staff, and the overall feel of comfort. Highly Recommend,

First "impact" with Laos: excellent!!! Very kind guys at the reception. Strategic position for the main attractions. Beautiful furnishings. Impeccable cleanliness. Extremely quiet. Highly recommended. We will definitely book it for the last two days before leaving for Italy.

Beautiful hotel, simple with colonial style of good taste. Friendly and helpful staff although not all speak English. Great location next to great coffee shops and Wats. There are many good choices in this city this one offers good value for mid range hotels.

Perhaps the nicest, small boutique-style hotels I've stayed in during 3 months in SE Asia. When you factor in price, Hotel Khamvongsa ranks at the top. A modern-colonial feel, quiet, comfortable well-appointed rooms and a team always there to assist. The price.. beyond reasonable. If you like small, speciality hotels.. I highly recommend.

It is about time for a radical re-write of the enduring myths that persist in portraying Vientiane as a sleepy Asian city steeped in old French colonial charms, dozing on the banks of the Mekong. These days, the capital of Laos buzzes with the sound of heavy traffic and is choked with the dust generated by rapid construction as high rise offices and hotels replace the crumbling French style villas. But amidst all this frenetic development, Hotel Khamvongsa offers a glimpse of the past with its polished marble floors, dark wood panelling and rattan furniture providing echoes of old eastern oriental charm. The hotel is a quiet refuge from the noise, heat and dust of the surrounding streets and to top it all, the breakfast is superb.

A perfect hotel to rest. Very clean and with very attentive staff. Very spacious and well decorated rooms with colonial style. Very quiet and very well located in the center. The only downside is that it does not include breakfast and modernizing the shower faucet.
