This is a very romantic hotel perfect for honeymooners!

Das Palais Coburg ist schön anzusehen: bei Tag und bei Nacht. Das Palais liegt unweit der Ringstraße am Parkring und ist ein Paradebeispiel für die Architektur des Historismus. Wir haben nebenan im Hotel am Parkring logiert und von dort aus einen herrlichen Blick auf das Palais gehabt - bei Tag und bei Nacht.

Wir haben an einem Samstag im Palais angerufen bzgl. dem Package "House of thrones". Die Mitarbieterin ist nicht im Haus, wird uns aber am Montag, unter der hinterlegten Nummer, zurückrufen. Am Montag: erfolgte kein Anruf. Am Dienstag: ein Anruf jedoch ohne eine Nachricht am AB zu hinterlassen. Wir haben darauf hin zurückgerufen und erbaten zwei Angebote: * ein Angebot für das Package House of thrones * ein Angebot für 1 Nacht für 3 Personen in der Suite. Schade, wir haben bis heute kein Angebot erhalten. 5* superior ist, wenn der Kunde einfach und unkompliziert reservieren kann. Schade

Wir waren vom 08.08. bis 11.08. im Palais Coburg zu Gasst. Die Auswahl bei der Buchung war relativ einfach, weil viele Hotels aufgrund der vermeintlichen Taylor Swift Konzerte ausgebucht oder völlig überteuert waren. Wir haben unsere Wahl keine Sekunde bereut. Der Empfang (mit einem Glas Champagner) wie auch die Mitarbeiter waren unaufgesetzt herzlich, hilfsbereit und professionell. Das Zimmer (wir hatten ein Upgrade in eine Residenzsuite, Dankeschön!) liess keine Wünsche offen. Nirgends in Wien findet man so viel Raum und Luxus zu einem so angemessenen Preis. Man mag einwenden, dass die Zimmereinrichtung nicht mehr ganz zeitgemäss ist, doch nichts wirkte verlebt oder gar schäbig. Die Betten waren superbequem. Das Frühstück draussen in der "Clementine" liess keine Wünsche offen. Leider war das Restaurant Silvio Nickol (wie so viele Restaurants in Wien im August) geschlossen. Den Spa-Bereich haben wir nicht besucht. Wir würden das Palais Coburg jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

Stunningly beautiful, the Palais Coburg was built between 1840 and 1845 for Duke Ferdinand. It was renovated and now houses a superb 5-star luxury hotel, condominiums and a restaurant. Built atop the Brown Bastion dating back to the mid 1500s.
