Haha… The bathroom was a bit dated; the air conditioning was probably a retrofit, so it had its own remote control, not a panel on the wall. The breakfast was simple, with limited options. For Chinese people who are used to drinking hot water and eating warm meals, after being "tortured" by all the cold bread and cold salads in the Swiss German-speaking region, it’s such a relief to finally be able to buy cold food from the supermarket, take it back to the room, and heat it up before eating. Haha... The bathroom facilities are a bit old. The air conditioner seems to be retrofitted too, so it has a separate remote control instead of being controlled by a panel on the wall. Now.. .our room was ultra basic and small, bathroom is a micro plastic capsule. Insonorisation is absent. And the neighborhood is neither pleasant nor convenient. Admittedly this hotel is cheaper than others but for what I offers it is still was too expensive."

"This hotel is a joke . The room was so hot that I had to keep the window open for the night. On the first floor the noise didn’t stop during the night and people came at 4 am to manipulate some stuff in the street . The breakfast is not existant compared to decent hotels."

"I had a great stay here, don't listen to the negative reviews, the hotel is under new ownership and renovations to the bar and restaurant were well under way, with the installation of a proper Irish style pub, hopefully fully opening next week. Yes the rooms are a bit dated, apparently a programme of refurbishment is next on the owners agenda. But the rooms are very clean and comfortable with lovely warm good pressure shower. The staff at every level are welcoming and friendly, the owners in particular were very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is in a fabulous location, right on the main square and just a short stroll to the lake and tour boats etc. I would definitely stay here again"
