As a solo traveller from Asia, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner, and because of its serene surrounding, I over spent willingly to indulge myself in an evening of fine dinning. Vitorie is a small boutique hotel, so don't set too high an expectation. Its superb location is worth what you are paying for it...."

"Terrible experience - charged in full for 3 days without staying a minute : We arrived at 7:30 pm with a car full of luggage after a long journey. There was no one to welcome us (we had warned them we would be 30 minutes late) ; Now on our own with a code we found upon arrival that there were barriers in place that prevented us from unloading our luggage in front of the house; We then discovered that our room was on the 4th floor - without an elevator ! We are both over 70 and although fit, it was impossible for us to carry our luggage first from the parking lot more than 10 minutes away and then up 4 flights having to go at least 5 times forth and back and up and down. We had to abort any attempt to access the property and were forced to look for alternative accommodation at 8 pm at night when prices were at a maximum. We wrote the property the next day to explain what had happened. They did not respond, they showed zero sympathy, and they charged us instead full price for no show. We would NOT recommend this place. Total absence of human understanding and good hosting."

"Superb location. Our apartment (3 bedroom on second floor) had a fantastic view with mountain/valley view. The apartment was clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly. The pool was great for our boys (10 and 15) although not much space around the pool to sit. Location is very convenient to see much of the Cote D'Azur. Places like St Paul de Vence and Tourettes sur Loup are beautiful places close by. We thoroughly recommend staying here and would go back."

"Good location close to the centre of town. Fabulous views from the terrace although the interior of the hotel is rather dark and gloomy. Our experience was let down by poor service. There was nobody on reception at either noon when we arrived or at 4pm when we came back to check in on the day of our arrival, despite a notice saying reception was available between 8am and 8pm, so we only got into the hotel because another guest took pity on us and unlocked the front door for us. Our key was waiting for us on the counter with a note of the code for the front door. We headed down for breakfast the next day at 9am to be told that breakfast was only available if pre ordered. None of the information provided before our stay or in our room advised us of this. Happily there are several lovely bakeries within 5 minutes walk!"
