We had made a booking with Agoda for three nights. One day before arrival we received the final room confirmation with the key code for the door of the room. Entering the room, we noticed other guest’s belongings inside and left right away contacting the front desk. They apologized and explained there has been a mistake being made and assigned a different room. That room has not been close to the room description we booked on Agoda. Checking the booking the room description along with the pictures does not even exist. We received the cheapest room but have paid for a different one. It took us 1.5 hours to talk to the front desk staff and the manager, but they did not seem to take responsible for the situation. Not accusing anyone of making the mistake, but looking for a solution, e.g., pay only 2 nights and get a refund for the third night as the provided room was way cheaper than what we have paid for. They just blocked and did not seem to be interested in moving anyhow into the customers favor. Anyway, a few hours later they agreed to refund one night. We did not want to stay any longer than needed as we did not feel comfortable at all, so we left after two days. The one night has never been refunded by the hotel. We received a refund from Agoda on goodwill. An absolutely NO GO is that the hotel provided full access to other guest’s belongings.
