The hotel staff were exceptional. very friendly and kind and will go to any length to please you. From the front desk to the dining area and ski rental area, all great people with great customer service. Berangere at the front desk was super kind and professional and did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I was very impressed by all their staff. Very close to the slopes, ski in and ski out. Great location, close to everything. Higlly recommend it.

J'ai passé 3 jours à l'Experimental Chalet Val d'Isère, et mon experience était mémorable. Notre chambre était très confortable (superbe literie !!) Le personel de l'établissement est adorable et au petit soin.. un grand merci à Alexandre qui nous a très bien conseillé quant à l'organisation de notre séjour (superbes recommandations de restaurants aux alentours) et merci à Eugène pour son service attentioné lors des petits déjeuners ! Mention très spéciale pour le Bar, les cocktails sont incroyables et l'équipe au top !! Une très belle surprise, on reviendra l'année prochaine !!

Nous avons séjourné à l'hôtel durant nos vacances et c'est un plaisir de revoir cet hôtel mythique de Val d'Isère à nouveau plein de vie! Tout notre séjour a été parfait, a commencer par l'accueil des équipes de réception. L'hôtel a été rénové avec bon goût et la qualité des espaces communs est très appréciable. Notre chambre était dans un état irréprochable et ce durant toute la durée de notre séjour. Nous avons déjà hâte de revenir l'année prochaine!

Excellent location. Ski shop rental is on level-1 and the hotel is next to the slopes. Room was comfortable and staff was very accommodating. Try the raclette restaurant downstairs but reserve in advance.

The hotel is a great location for restaurants and the lifts. The rooms are small, which is probably true of most of the hotels. The first floor smells of something unpleasant, possibly sewerage and you can hear the beat from the bar below. Wouldn’t come back to this room.

Overall, this is a very high quality hotel. The staff are absolutely exceptional. Furnishings are comfortable and throughout. The location is almost unbeatable - very close to the slopes and the town centre. I also commend this hotel for their very thoughtful approach to allergens - our son has a number of allergies that make a traditional ski resort breakfast very challenging (nuts, eggs). Julien and the restaurant team went above and beyond to ensure he had specially prepared breakfasts. This was exceptional. The steam room, sauna and cold plunge pool were very good too - although you do have to make a reservation during peak apres ski hours. Why not 5 stars? Two reasons - there is no ventilation in the bathrooms - its odd that given the hotel was recently refurbished that this couldn't have been considered. Also, the ski room downstairs gets very crowded. Rather than try to cram in a ski shop (there are hundreds of them in the town already), having more room for proper self service ski lockers and more areas to sit and put on boots would have been better.

Brilliant hotel - lovely rooms and amenities, friendly and helpful staff and great central location next to the main lifts! Spa was lovely, ski room was well organised and the dinner was magnificent (especially the beef). Would highly recommend to anybody.
