This hotel is one of the worst I've ever visited. From the time you walk in, the entire place smells like mold and you can see it on the walls. The front reception staff tried to question the validity of my visa even though I had traveled internationally thru federal agents review of the visa at the airport, etc. The staff also could not find my original reservation and handled the situation poorly causing chaos and a tense reception in front of our family. As we were finally walked to our room, the janitorial staff was still cleaning it so we weren't comfortable and had to ask to be moved. The staff couldn't remember our room number from the time we left the desk until we arrived on the floor, so we had to wait for them to go back down to confirm and return. We arrived at the second room but throughout the week there were mosquitos and spiders in the room. The rug in the room was black/brown and we had to clean our feet before entering the bed each night. We finally asked them to remove it because they weren't noticing it or cleaning it daily. Room service took an hour and a half for food to arrive. The breakfast buffet was out of food daily by the 9-10am timeframe. Two days in a row we were only permitted really bad coffee and toast. The butter served with the toast was frozen. One night I needed a quick juice to help with low blood sugar, and we informed the staff of this small medical issue and to bring the juice quickly, but after waiting for a long time, we left and went to find another option. The juice arrived nearly an hour later. There were sounds of water running thru the walls all day and night. There were so many things broken, not cleaned, not repaired, not working on this property. It needs a well informed staff, they all need to be trained in customer service, the maintenance staff needs to be provided the provisions to make all of the necessary repairs.
