What could have been a great experience was ruined by the carelessness of the staff. We had booked a room and had informed the hotel of the check-in time at 12:00pm, two days in advance and again reminded them on the day of check-in, 3 hours before arriving. Inspite of this, when we reached hotel at 1:30pm, the room was not ready. We had to wait for 30 mins for our room to get ready. That too when we asked for a first-floor room, the receptionist mentioned that it will take additional 3 hrs. All of this when booking was done 2 weeks in advance. In addition, we informed hotel that we will check-out at 5:00am as it was a long drive back home and inspite of we being assured of someone being at reception or sleeping near reception area, we could not find anyone at 5:30am. When I called the number mentioned on reception desk, first the call was disconnected, then he picked the call and said he is coming, then did not come and slept back. After waiting for sometime, I started looking for the person physically, woke him up and completed the check-out process and refund of deposit. The menu that you find in the hotel is of some other (small time) restaurant who would parcel the food in plastic bags and will provide paper plates. We ordered a veg thali and found it difficult to eat from plastic pouches and simple plates. They charge additional delivery charge of nominal Rs 10. Apart from above experience, the hotel is very conveniently located at a walking distance of 500m from temple and 750m from beach. The rooms are spacious, clean but have two single beds joined which gets inconvenient for three people (in our case 2 adults and a baby).
