This small hotel has a beautiful setting with a view of the ocean and Pico island in the distance. We were in one of the little “house” rooms away from the main building. Our large room was modern, with plenty of space to place our luggage. The bathroom was nice and also had plenty of room. We had a small deck with chairs in front of our room. The only drawback is the remoteness of the location. If you don’t have a car, it is a quite a walk to restaurants, grocery stores etc. The front desk helped us arrange taxis for us. Breakfasts were probably the least interesting of the 15 hotels we have had so far on this trip..

Très bel établissement, beaucoup de charme. Chambre propre, moderne et confortable. Très bon accueil. Très bon petit déjeuner. Petit plus pour nous : vue sur l'océan et le Mont Pico et coucher de soleil depuis notre terrasse (chambre Faja Redonda).

Perfect stay. We loved everything about it- ambience, the killer views, the bed, comfortable bathroom, ease of parking, simple walk to one of the best walking paths we have been on, hot tub (our unit only), quietness and the list goes on. Really good choice.

Beautiful buildings and an incredible setting, with unbeatable views out towards Pico. The hotel is thoughtfully decorated, very comfortable and immaculately clean, with friendly and helpful staff. We opted for an ocean view room, which actually meant we had an individual room in its own building just a very short walk from the main building, the main bonus being we had our own veranda and seating with which to enjoy the stunning views. A very good selection of sweet and savoury hot and cold foods for the buffet breakfast, which was regularly replenished. Happy to recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again next time we visit Sao Jorge.

Petit bijou en bord de mer face à l'île de Pico (vue +++ surtout par nuit de pleine lune...). Chambres spacieuses, claires, colorées avec goût, légères. Trés bon entretien des communs, de la chambre utilisée et de sa salle de bain. Bon petit déjeuner avec choix (buffet). Restaurant à moins de 5 minutes à pied avec plats au contenu abondant. Très bien situé sur l'île, central, à quelques minutes de l'aéroport (deux à trois vols/jour)

This place is A-MA-ZING!!! Peaceful setting, wonderful pool, the rooms are very comfortable and immaculate. We stayed in one of the units outside the main building which had a veranda with a table and chairs looking out to the ocean. Enjoyed some wine and cheese in that beautiful setting daily. Lastly, the hosts are extraordinarily helpful. We needed to leave early and they assisted with flight changes and even refunded us for a night. HIGHLY recommend this place for a wonderful vacation!

The island of Sao Jorge is like a trip back in time to what I imagine Kauai was like 75 years ago. Add to that a 5 star hotel with views across the straight to Pica and the volcano that is sometimes shrouded in clouds, and you've found a little piece of Heaven. Pedro, the manager and proprietor went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel itself is stunning and I can't wait to go back! If you ever have the pleasure of visiting this lovely island, Quinta da Magnolia should be your base to explore this magical place.

Spot-on small hotel, well located, comfortable (w/AC), and family owned & operated with Pedro as the exceptionally personable and all-attentive GM. The hotel has ocean views with Mt Pico in the distance, a refreshing pool, and a strikingly handsome basalt exterior.

This place is centrally located on the Island. We were greeted with fresh juice and local cookies. Pedro is the GM and he went the extra mile to make our stay a wonderful experience. This beautiful property has air conditioning, which isn't a given on the Islands. The staff is excellently trained and willing to cater to our needs. Pedro informed us about things that were happening on the Island and made excellent recommendations for dining...this is the only place you should consider staying on Sao Jorge.
