Urubamba Hotels with Gym

Belmond Hotel is my personal favorite hotel brand, no one! Although it is relatively niche compared to other five-star hotels, it is definitely an aristocratic stay experience! From check-in to check-out at the front desk, the hotel has really paid attention to every detail. The Belmond Hotel Machu Picchu is located at the door of Machu Picchu, which saves a lot of effort for tourists who visit early in the morning. I booked an all-inclusive room type with three meals. The choice of three meals is very rich, which is quite good for a mountaintop hotel with scarce supplies. The hotel still provides washing service after check-out, which is very intimate. After staying for two nights, Machu Picchu is a great experience! Ctrip's price is much cheaper than booking, very powerful!

Look out on the gardens from your shower and all exude our authentic Andean charm. Exterior walls are rendered using ancient techniques - while interiors come alive with bright fabrics and alpaca wools. Come evening - head to El Huerto Bar for a zingy Pisco sour. Our barman has a wealth of knowledge on the local liquor - his tasting sessions are not to be missed. A fire roars on the terrace of El Huerto Restaurant. Here - dishes are made with ingredients fresh from the kitchen garden. The riverside El Jardin meanwhile - offers culinary theatre with its waterside barbecue and traditional pachamanca.

This hotel pulls WAY beyond its claimed 3-star rating. Think 5-stars. It’s that special. There seems to be an older part of the hotel—perhaps a historic nunnery?—but the majority of the complex appears more contemporary, albeit with an architectural style sensitive to the ambiance of the older buildings. To our surprise, we had what I believe was a superior suite. It was an awesome space, with a beautiful sitting area, a spacious bedroom, a bathroom with a huge walk-in shower with two rain shower heads, even a dining table and a small kitchenette with a wet bar, refrigerator and microwave. The suite was immaculate and in flawless repair. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room was silent, resulting in excellent sleep quality. It was a pleasure to wander the gorgeous grounds. I wasn’t enamored by the local women invited to sell their goods, but at some level they were charming rather than intrusive. The alpacas that helped keep the grounds trim were simply adorable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide selection of well-prepared options, including made-to-order omelets. We ate once at their Italian restaurant for a casual dinner and enjoyed a tasty and reasonably priced pizza. This hotel is wonderful. Think 4-4.5 stars, and you won’t be disappointed.

The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with beautiful surroundings. Our room offers a wonderful mountain view from the balcony, and it is quite spacious. One downside was the absence of air conditioning or a fan in the room, which made it a bit warm during the night. However, when we requested a standing fan, the hotel promptly provided one, significantly improving our comfort.

The positive: The hotel is beautiful and idyllic, the people attending are very nice and helpful, if undertrained. The breakfast was great. The negative: it is really hard to locate, especially at night. It took us hours to get there (we were by car), we got lost twice, the roads do not have illumination and a significant part is a horrible dirt road with lots of holes. On the corner of the street going up the hotel there is trash laying on the street. The wifi is very poor, especially in the rooms. We couldn't contact the property at all. They did not answer messages or calls. Directions are not clear, the hotel doesn't provide them either. We were upcharged without explanation the first night (a good 12%), and they made a mistake the second night with the price as well, we were forced to make an international transfer. The staff is very undertrained, they were doing the best to help but they couldn't locate the owner.
