This is an absolute gem of a place, right on the Orange River. Beautifully and fully equipped rooms, with stunning views, all of which make your stay even better. The staff are all so helpful and friendly.....this was really a fantastic place to stay.

River Manor was certainly valuable for the price. Spacious, very equipped rooms, with a lovely view of the river. A great pool area and the food was delicious. It is a gem for Uptiongon and was a great place for our family to kick off our vacation.

I needed a place to overnight while travelling from Cape Town to Kgalagadi. I'm super glad I chose River Place Manor in Upington. The town had plenty of facilities to stock up with and the accommodation itself was lovely right next to the river with comfy loungers and a beautiful garden surrounded by pecan trees and vines. I stayed here late September so had no issues with mosquitos. My 9 and 11 year old kids enjoyed the pool overlooking the river. Also the breakfast was yummy - worth it to include in your booking. I particularly enjoyed their sausage. I somehow forgot my jacket there and the staff were very helpful and communicated promptly via WhatsApp. Lovely place, just book it.

Es hat alles gestimmt, das Zimmer mit den bequemen Betten und das Bad. Es gab reichlich Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet. Das Dinner schmeckte hervorragend. Alle Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Aber am Besten hat uns die ruhige Lage am Oranje River gefallen, es ist einfach nur wunderschön dort zu sitzen und als Hobby Ornithologen die Vögel zu beobachten. Vielen Dank für dieses Erlebnis, alles Gute für das gesamte River Manor Team.

Great hotel with self catering facilities. Beautiful rooms with nice view. Staff were amazing. They recommended we pre order our dinner which we did. The meal was very nice. Breakfast was also very good. Our regret is we only had one night as it was a stop over to Namaqualand. We will definitely come back.

The property is right by the water and offers magnificent sunsets. The breakfast on offer had a varied selection to choose from and the view from the dining room and patio is breathtaking. It was fully booked during our stay and yet we didn't see or hear other guests except at breakfast, which was a positive for me. The reason I didn't give a higher score is that the reception we received was less than satisfactory and we were given a room with two double beds instead of one king/queen sized bed that we booked.

We stayed at the manor for one night on the back from the Kgalagadi. Everything from the room to the surrounds, were beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a excellent breakfast in a beautiful dining room which had a view of the Orange River. The decor in every room is beautiful. It was like staying in a 5 star resort, We were so sad we did not have time to enjoy this haven. Next time, we will be sure to stay two nights and explore Upington.
