Holiday Inn Express & Suites Uniontown

Please be careful, i thought the guy who said this hotel had BEDBUGS just had a bad experience but he wasn’t lying, room 206 was full of BEDBUGS, also 2 other rooms, terrible experience specially when i went to the front desk and the lady looked like i wasn’t the first complaining about it.

Truly only have one word: BEDBUGS! Have had to stay here off and on for business. Twice needed to switch rooms because they didn’t look like they’d been cleaned at all upon check-in. Bed sheets looked slept in, and last time came home with bedbug welts on my back. Also the hallways just smell bad. I’ve never had an experience like this at any other Holiday Inn Express.

Decent place to stay a couple of nights while exploring the area. Comfortable bed and pillows, good shower, coffee, microwave and fridge in the room. The breakfast was quite extensive, with regularly replenished eggs, breakfast meats, and sausage & biscuits and more. Staff was friendly and helpful. Downsides: toilet was a bit rock-y and we could really hear the person above us stomping around.

In general hotel is fine and what you'd expect. Good for a family or business stay. Very convenient to stores and food choices. The common areas all clean and organized. The particular room we got was fine, bed comfortable and pillows fine. Bedding had been changed but the room had obviously not be vacuumed. There was food and dead bugs all around the room on the floor. Quite honestly the dirtiest floor I've had in a hotel room pre or post covid. I'm assuming it was simply overlooked, people are busy but seems pretty basic. You could see the food and what not on the floor from the moment you walked in, obviously not checked. Doubt I'd stay here again, there are other options in same location.

The Holiday Inn Express feels either newer or renovated in the last few years. Staff were polite and hospitable. The amenities and services were as you expect and as is standard. Breakfast was slightly better than normal as it had the full array of buffet offerings, including egg white omelets and turkey sausage. I didn't, however, see any fresh fruit or berries. The pancake machine was broken. My room was mostly clean. I say mostly because the sofa was disgustingly stained in multiple places. That sofa should have been replaced a while ago. The stains are inexcusable. That side, everything else in the room was clean. The pantry off the side of the front desk was mostly empty. Some more snacks and drinks would have been appreciated. As an IHG diamond, I received zero recognition. Not even a suite upgrade even though suites were available. Ignoring the stained sofa and zero IHG elite recognition, the only real issue I experienced was parking. The parking lot is very small with barely enough spaces for the number of rooms. The adjoining parking lots for other businesses do not allow hotel guests. Those driving a big truck or SUV or pulling a trailer may not have anywhere to park if the hotel is busy. All things considered, there aren't many good hotels in the Uniontown area. I would almost certainly return if I was back in Uniontown.

Very standard Holiday Inn Express. Conveniently located with a number of stores and restaurants within walking distance, it is a perfect spot to stop while travelling in the Uniontown area. We were greeted promptly and our room was assigned without any trouble. The entire hotel was clean and tidy, with our room being very clean. We had a suite so there was a king bed, a couch and table and a moveable side chair. The bathroom was clean and there were more than enough towels for us. There were extra blankets and pillows available as well. The room included a small refrigerator, microwave, and a single-serve coffee machine with both coffee and tea for it. The only downside is that the Television is centered on the bed and, even with pivoting it on the wall mount, it was a little difficult to see from the couch. Breakfast in the morning was standard fare, the coffee was hot, and my wife appreciated that they had a variety of tea available. The televisions that were on during breakfast were not overly loud, which was nice. Sometimes you don't need morning news blaring at you.

We stayed here for 5 nights over Christmas to visit family. Everything was very clean and the room was spacious for our family of 3 and our dog (they provided a doggy bag with treats and waste bags). We were here when the weather was in the single digits and negatives but we were cozy and t he parking lot was well taken care of. We had a problem with being charged twice (we had booked third party) but the manager had taken care of it which we appreciate!! Our only complaint is sometimes we had trouble with coffee being replenished during breakfast!

I was pleasantly surprised by my recent stay at The Holiday Inn Express in Uniontown PA. Being a pragmatic person, I really enjoyed the practical set up of my room. Every detail of the hotel is set up for convenience and comfort. I particularly loved the bathroom mirror which somehow made me look a bit younger than my 67 years! There are safe sidewalks nearby for walkers. A trip up the few mild hills provide a view of the lovely mountains in the distance. Do stay here. It is clean and the staff was wonderful!
