Hi all! I booked the hotel through tripcom from Russia, payment in rubles. The pleasant owner of the hotel checked us in early and treated us to a drink. breakfasts are typical for Sri Lanka, scrambled eggs, toast with jam, fruit plate, drink. The room is cleaned every day, water and tea/coffee are provided. There are no insects in the room. There is air conditioning, refrigerator, safe. 5 minutes walk to the sea, nearby fruit shops, shops, restaurants. Among the attractions nearby are the Buddha Temple and the observation deck. super hotel for the money

We had a wonderful time here from October 13th to 23rd, we had room 11. It's just a delight - it's like living in the jungle. I went out onto a huge beautiful balcony and listened to the sounds of nature, rain...watching birds, palm squirrels, insects❤ Very good, responsive and hospitable hosts, a family hotel with pleasant unobtrusive service and excellent staff. The room has everything, cleaning every day, linen/towels changed every 3 days, everything is clean and beautiful! There were never any living creatures in the room, as well as mosquitoes! A normal standard breakfast, always ripe and tasty fruits - pineapple, papaya, mango, egg dishes, toast, butter, jam - that was enough for us. It's 3-4 minutes to the ocean if you pass through any restaurant on the shore. Nearby are shops and fruit stands. In the evening, you can hear calming mantras from the Devol Devalaya temple. We wish Villa Watuna good luck and prosperity, and the owners health and a happy life! I recommend this to everyone as a wonderful place to relax and get away from the noise of big cities.

Let me start by saying that we arrived today. Earlier this year I was in Sri Lanka and, therefore, the choice of the place for this holiday was on my friend. We chose it based on reviews. I am writing my review in comparison with a vacation in January of this year in another part of the island. For connoisseurs of the Black Sea coast it is very simple. This is Dzhemete. More details for others. Unawatuna is a small town, completely focused on vacationers. The nearest supermarket with prices for locals is 5 km away, in Halle. Here the prices for fruits are at least 2 times higher. Example. Papaya. Here 1 kg is 600 rupees, in hyper 380 rupees. Banana mini Here 800, there 230 rupees. Coffee here is 700 rupees, about 2.5 dollars. Just like before in Venice. The cafe has a set of: chicken, burger, beer, cocktail. You can't see or hear about hoppers, streethoppers, rotis and other local food. There was a very limited selection of fish; not a single cafe on the entire promenade offered us seafood for lunch (this is at least 5 cafes). The ocean bay is nearby. There are no umbrellas or beach towels. Now a hotel. This is a three. But it’s a pity to give even a two. First and foremost. The location couldn't be worse. It's 400 meters or so to the water. Of course, it doesn’t have its own beach. Hotel on the hill. Path made of stones. 100-150 meters of the uphill path is lined with stones. You will have to carry suitcases. The owner’s joy was not noticeable when we appeared. We called him and got through somehow. Nobody met us. His two young assistants very colorfully showed that gratitude was needed for the suitcases brought to the room. It would be better if they brought them from the road. It would be something to give money for. The main road where the local bus goes to Galle is at least 3 km away. Yes. So far. There are no shops nearby to buy drinking water. You can’t go to the sea in beach clothes either. There are a lot of cafes and tuk-tuks on the resort street. There are no changing rooms on the beach. The audibility in the room is simply excellent. You can hear everything the neighbors do. The hotel does not have a common recreation area. And there is no pool. There is a terrace. It's just hot on her. And mosquitoes. Day and night. We also have ants. Greenery all around. But not for you. There is no opportunity to walk or sit on it. Apparently, it is from another hotel nearby. Yes. Still very important. This was my first time encountering a dirty room. The blanket on the bed smelled disgustingly. It was as if someone very sweaty had been wrapped in it for a week. Table with stains. I started scrubbing, and it came out, the smell of fish and the consistency of something like honey. Naturally, there are no shampoos or gel. The room has an abundance of lamps. But they are so dim. So it's semi-dark. Something like that.

A wonderful holiday in this villa within walking distance of the ocean. The beach is a 5 minute walk away) There is a lot of greenery around, palm trees, monkeys, chipmunks... Excellent deluxe room with air conditioning and a huge balcony. Cleaning every day with change of linen and towels, plus a bottle of water per person and tea and coffee. Very attentive staff.

Excellent hotel. Very conveniently located. A few minutes to the beach, but quiet at night, as it is located a little away from the main road. Responsive staff, any issues are resolved very quickly. Excellent breakfasts. I recommend to everyone.

The hotel staff is not very pleasant. We felt like we were bothering us every time we asked for something. We were woken up every morning at 8:00 by construction in the hotel. The least we could have done was to warn that the hotel was under construction. Room service was only half done. In short, a place that could be pleasant but was not.
