When we chose Ukulas Island, we practically didn't even consider other hotels. Upon arrival on the island, we were met and taken to the hotel in a golf cart. We booked a room with a sea view. We got the 3rd floor. The view from the balcony was stunning. The room was quiet, you could hardly hear your neighbors, but unfortunately in the evenings we couldn't open the window from the moment we started dinner until the end, since the room was located above the kitchen hood and all the smell of fried fish and other food went into our room. In the morning, there was the same situation when they were frying eggs. Our room was quite spacious. There is a place to hang things, a table, a chair, a TV, a safe, water (in a cooler or water purifier), tea, mugs, glasses. We really missed a mini fridge. In the evenings, on the side with a sea view, it was noisy, since loud music was playing in the beach bar until 11 or 11:30 p.m. In the bathroom we were missing hair conditioner and regular hand soap, although there was liquid soap, but it seemed to us that it did not clean hands well. A toothbrush, cotton swabs and disks, a shaving kit, a robe, slippers - none of this was there, although perhaps these things could be obtained upon request. Periodically in the bathroom and on a daily basis in the hallway there was a smell of sewage. The cleaning was not very good, often hair was left on the floor. I brought my duvet cover from home, in case they could not provide me with an extra one. I left the duvet cover on the bed, and when I returned to the room, after cleaning I found it on my dirty suitcase, namely on its lid, which before arriving at the hotel had been in many train stations, airports, toilets, etc. It was very unpleasant to see such an attitude towards clean personal belongings. On the floor we were missing a shoe rack, since not all tourists were neat and often threw their shoes in front of the door, which we tripped over several times. On other floors we saw shoe racks. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming, always ready to help, answer all questions, helped book a speedboat to Ukulhas and back to Male. Early in the morning they took us to the boat. As for meals, we took breakfast and dinner. Our breakfast was in the buffet format, and dinner from the restaurant menu. For dinner you could order 2 dishes, but to be honest, by the end of the trip we still did not understand from which section you can choose these dishes, since on what’s app we were told that you can take one main course and one appetizer or dessert, and each of the waiters who served us - all told different information. From someone you could order pasta, soup, salad, and from someone not 🙄 I was very pleased that grain coffee and tea were unlimited throughout the day. You could make espresso and Americano for free and even take a cup with you to your room or to the beach. Breakfasts were standard: fruit (we had pineapple, watermelon, and papaya), waffles, beans in tomato sauce, several egg options, jam, butter, bread, turkey bacon, mushrooms, and Mas Huni, a rice-flour flatbread.
