RL Ciudad de Úbeda ★★★★

📍 C. Cronista Juan de la Torre, 5, Jaén, Ubeda

"A year and a half coming and going from Albacete to Úbeda to see my son. I don't have the words to express the good things I had the year and a half I was there. I just want to thank everyone for everything in general, from the way I treated everyone, from the cleaning staff to the waiters and waitresses, to the kitchen, reception and bar. I felt like I was at home. Thank you and a happy new year, Jorge Zalazar."

📍 C. del Obispo Toral, 2, Ubeda

"It is a good hotel in general, spacious and comfortable rooms, very good location and very close to the historic centre, friendly staff, it has parking, although limited to the width and length of the car because it is accessed by a car lift, for food we only had the buffet breakfast and it was good within the normal range. It has a swimming pool although only in season. It is the second time we have stayed overnight in this hotel on the way to the Andalusian coast, ideal for relaxing, having a drink and/or tasting one of its numerous tapas and food in any of its bars and/or restaurants, and admiring a multitude of buildings and monuments since Úbeda is a World Heritage Site."

"The hotel is in a great location that felt really safe. It is a short and interesting walk into the centre. All the staff we met were friendly and professional. The room was great, the bed was massive and the bathroom really well appointed. A really enjoyable overnight stay."

Hotel Palacio de Úbeda 5 G.L ★★★★★
"The most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in this trip to Europe, and the only hotel with disposable slippers and bathrobes in the room. The whole hotel is a remodeled ancient aristocratic residence in the center of the city. The room is large with a large bathtub, balcony, bedroom and bathroom. The room decoration takes a luxurious route. At first glance, it looks good, but if you look at some details carefully, you can see that the materials are not very high-grade. Each room has a name, named after aristocratic families in the Andalusian region, such as • Dávila‑ Toledo = Core Noble; • Santa Cruz, Mesía = same circle nobles/in-laws; • Pascual = common surnames in the same area, often for family members, in-laws, and civilian branches; Temporary parking and luggage can be parked at the entrance of the hotel. You can pay 20 euros to park in the parking lot in the hotel, or you can drive out to the free parking space on the nearby street, about 5 minutes walk. The hotel's facilities are complete, the service is warm and thoughtful, and there are several restaurants and banquet halls. And hot spring massage. I tried a restaurant that was open to the outside world. I had to go out from the gate and enter the door of the restaurant alone. The dishes were good for dinner, the environment was high-grade and the price was reasonable."

Hostal Santa María de Úbeda ★★★
"The owner was warm and kind and the hotel is in an absolutely beautiful and historic area. The bed squeaked every time a hair on your head moved. It squeaked so much that we did not get any sleep at all. The sheets had stains on them. The shower was decent and the heater worked well. There is parking close by and there is an elevator up to the room. No breakfast was offered and there was no coffee in the room."

"The location and the hotel were very good. Some parts of the room (lamps, for example) looked like they could be improved with a little investment. The breakfast, compared to other paradores, was weaker than average."

Hotel Rosaleda Don Pedro ★★★
"A decent hotel located in the historic centre of Úbeda. When the reservation was made by phone, parking for two vehicles was requested, STATING THAT THEY WERE EIGHT-SEAT VANS. Upon arrival we found out that we could not park at the hotel because the vehicles access the car park via an elevator that does not accommodate vans. The location of the hotel on a narrow street in the old town, with the legitimate passage of neighbours' vehicles, turned the operation of disembarking occupants, luggage and leaving the street again to look for parking into unspeakable chaos. The same thing happened the following morning to load up at the exit of the hotel. The establishment, at the risk of losing the stay, should have warned of the problem and did not do so. Very bad."

"We have been a weekend, Friday to Sunday. The hotel is located in a privileged place, next to the Mayor Street, which is the street with the most gastronomic offer and where the visits guided to the monumental Ubeda are going. The hotel is very small, in an old building with a very beautiful central patio. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable and very comfortable."

Hotel Ordóñez Sandoval ★★
"Very pleasant stay at Hotel Ordonez Sandoval. The building has been owned by the family of the proprietor for over 225 years. It contains many old objects from the proprietor's ancestors, and is really very beautiful. It cannot be considered a luxurious hotel, but is reasonably comfortable for such an old establishment. The owner is very attentive and helpful to guests. The breakfast was basic but quite good (excellent coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, various ham and cheeses, etc.). There is some noise from street traffic because the narrow street next to the hotel is one of the entry points for vehicles into the old city, but it dies down very quickly after around 11pm, so it's not a problem. This was a very unique hotel and I'm glad I went there."
