Really affordable hotel at the heart of Sunderland. Also walkable to the main street of Sunderland. Only dishearterning experience was when some toiletries were missing because they went "out of stock". Otherwise, we really enjoyed our time there.

Although the price is not expensive, the floor attendants, a white woman and a black man, who are responsible for the room hygiene, have very bad attitudes. There are dirty marks on the quilt and they asked them to change a quilt. They knocked on the door as if they were going to kill someone, and their eyes were ferocious and very scary. How can such people do service work? I was going to stay for a few days, but fortunately I booked one day in advance. I left the hotel immediately if I couldn't leave a tip the next day. Avoid thunder!

The cleaning is very good, very clean, and the front desk is also very helpful. They specially provided an extra bed for my child under 17 years old. With big brands, you can’t make the wrong choice. It's just that the breakfast didn't look delicious, so I didn't order it. The menu in the room says All day menu, not all day, but afternoon. There is no parking within the hotel area, but there is a paid St. Mary’s car park nearby. There are McDonald's and Primark nearby, which is a relatively quiet neighborhood.

The hotel is very clean and looks very new, but parking is inconvenient and you need to park in the public parking lot across the road. It costs about 15 pounds a night. The overall living experience is not bad... The price is excellent and the location is convenient

Good location, 5 mins walk to train station, metro and city centre shops and restaurants. Rooms slightly basic but very clean and comfortable. Staff pretty friendly. Good option when staying in Sunderland.

This is a lovely Holiday Inn. Very modern and clean, felt like I was at much higher level brand! Polite staff. Comfy bed.
The flaw was there was a power cut in the morning. It lasted an hour at least and I couldn’t contact reception (obviously). I was getting ready for an event so didn’t have time to go down and ask what was going on. I know sometimes these things can’t be helped, but I was frustrated that it lasted so long and only came back about 2 minutes before I had to leave.
